Re: Wolves 2017 Draft Thread
Heh, I guess we really do need to start turning our attention to the draft.....
This is another reason why I think Thibs and Layden might be doing some wheeling and dealing this offseason. They have a ton of young assets on the roster that have a lot of value around the league AND another top 10 lottery pick in all likelihood.
I have to believe that after a very conservative offseason where these guys kept their powder dry and having a full season to evaluate what's there, they will be ready to make some big moves. That includes potentially dealing this pick.

Yeah, I'm a guy who usually thinks it's never to early to fire up this thread, and the prospect of a high draft pick has gotten me through many a cold winter night. But this year just feels different, and my disappointment in the 5-12 start hurts more than other bad starts. I'm not at all ready to play the "who are we going to draft" game, because I fully expected our pick this year to be closer to 20 than 2. Give me a couple months to grieve and I may be back.

By the way, if we were to keep our pick, the guy I'm intrigued with is OG Anunoby....Looks like defense is his calling card. Assuming we keep Wiggins and LaVine around and keep Wiggins at the 3, I'd use OG as Bazz's replacement in the rotation, backing up Wiggins with a big, strong, defensive oriented player that could potentially become starting caliber some day.
Re: Wolves 2017 Draft Thread
I'm hoping to get to some Nebraska basketball games and see some big 10 teams so hopefully I will be able to see some interesting players.
One college player I will be following this year is Andrew White III. He transferred from Kansas to Nebraska and had a pretty nice year last year and then eventually decided to transfer to another school but it was sort of frustrating for local people it seemed like he was gonna leave (as a graduate transfer) but didn't officially anounnce anything and then finally did and some local people here were not too pleased. It was a bit comical how much of a villain he was to some fans. Eventually he decided to transfer to Syracuse and is a starter and playing pretty well. In the Sports illustrated college basketball preview he was the featured Syracuse player and his teammates call him uncle Drew. Lol I think it's pretty obvious now he made the right decision. I don't see how anyone could be mad at him getting that type of situation and he has NBA aspirations and wanted to go someplace where he could play in the tourney. I could see him possibly playing his way into being a 2nd round type guy he has solid length and athletic ability plus he can shoot. He may be a nice enough complimentary player. He is still a long shot though.

We need a Jeff Adrian type PF minus some of the defects if he had any.

I couldn't agree more. What defects?
Re: Wolves 2017 Draft Thread
Ivan Rabb looks like a very good prospect. His body appears to be filling out a bit. He's pretty long and very skilled.

I really liked what I saw out of him last year in the few games I saw.

I don't know. I was hoping you had something to add to that.
