Count the Crowd Size: Memphis vs. Minnesota GDT

Post by AbeVigodaLive »

Atrocious -20 degree weather.
+
Struggling visiting team w/o star players from small market
+
Jerryd Bayless + Isaiah Canaan running the show

Lip and LST are SOFT if they miss this one. Bundle up boys, it's gonna get heated tonight (if the Wolves lose to the crappy Grizzlies and the board goes apeshit reactionary angry about it)

They should give small market teams an opportunity to combine rosters. Us and Memphis together would be a solid squad.

Whoa Abe dropping the S word on people!!!

Just checked and we moved up to the balmy 2 degrees here. It certainly feels plenty cold but for some people around here you think Negative temps were super duper cold. I'll admit I probably should have worn 1 more later today.

+ 2 degrees... you're lucky.

-14 right now... down to -19 by game time.

I would expect a few tickets are available for this one...

Gasol and Conley are playing, right? If so, they have a solid chance against us. IIRC Gasol has KAT's number.

It's absurdly cold here and Memphis is dull to watch even when they're good, so I expect about 5000 fannies in the seats tonight max. But Abe will not get away with calling me soft...I WILL BE THERE! I can't speak for Lip, but I may take a glance 2 sections to the left to see for myself...if he tries to file a game report as if he were there, I will know if it's fake news or not!

Tough to get fired up about this one, and I probably would be skipping it if I hadn't asked my son to join me. Memphis plays a painful style and we have no PGs...sounds like fun, huh? But Abe is right...a loss tonight will result in a complete board melt-down. Memphis has Caspi out and may be missing Jackson and Green, but those losses pale before ours...and we looked like crap the last time we played them. KAT and Wig have seemed to understand lately that they need to lead this team...they better both show up tonight.

Memphis has won 26 of the previous 34 games in the "rivalry" ... including 5 of the past 6.

And it wasn't all during the heyday of the Grit N Grind era.

Conley and/or Gasol have missed several games.

We struggle against this grit and grind team and kat has a tough time vs gasol.

Nothing will be easy.

Oh man maybe the worst game to go to. Who's sitting home in Bloomington thinking, "hey Memphis is in town and it's 20 below outside, i should go."
