Like that has a chance! ;-)

And even if he did pick us, you know damn well his shot would suddenly go to hell and he would grossly underperform his career 3-point numbers.

Might as well throw Nik Stauskas in the mix as well!!

Cam would finally get his man!

Wolfson said on Twitter the Wolves have actually put in a call! Oh man I'm getting a little excited...

Tolliver for CJ Miles and a 2nd
Tolliver for Lee and a 2nd
Tolliver for Patrick Patterson and a 2nd

I would have declined all 3 because all those contracts have money for next year and the players we get would bring 0 upside

I would have taken either of the first two deals. What does money matter? We have no cap space with Towns extension kicking in if Teague opts in which is very possible after a down season now. They both add shooting and Tolliver isn't playing anyway so get a pick for him as well while you are at it.

Those 3 deals wouldn't allow us to use the non-tax payer MLE. That matters.

No. It still doesn't matter. What free agent is turning this team around for the MLE? The answer is none. That guy is a sixth man in the best case scenario and the best case scenario isn't coming to MN. Only the overpaid scenario is coming here. So the smaller MLE will actually keep us from overpaying someone in hopes they do more than they can.

Eh, i'm not going to put my heels in the ground and disagree. I understand your point. I would rather have the MLE but I understand you wanting the 2nd round pick.

Let's say we do the Patterson trade and we have to pay a guy we don't really want 5 million. What if you could use 5 million and a roster spot to sign the next Noah Vonleh type or Trey Burke or one of the many guys the Heat have signed over the years that nobody else wanted? Basically paying over 5 million for a 2nd round pick is no good. Fortunately Dane Moore pointed all this out to Wolfson and laid it out.

Also keep Thorpe and his Marriage strong I don't want that guy making any decisions after saying he would do the C.J. Miles deal to get a 2nd round pick. Thibs and or Layden were wise to not give up a first to get miles a couple ears ago imagine if they had boy would they be grilled if he sucked as bad here as he has in Toronto where moat guys play well.
