You are the same guy who said he doesn't understand how the wolves were underdogs tonight. Also the same guy who said that was upset that thibs wasn't playing bayless
Lol...please show me the post where I was upset Thibs wasn't playing Bayless! I have consistently (perhaps too often) said what a hardship it is for Ryan to have to coach a team starting it's 4th best point guard. Thibs had 3 healthy PGs most of the year this year, and I never would have suggested he play his 4th option...cone on, kek! That said, Bayless has been better than I would have expected because I haven't liked his game since his college year. But I'd be surprised if anyone here sees him as anything other than our 4th option...with Canaan our 5th.
I'm going to apologize because I can't find the post. I swear you mentioned that you didn't understand how Bayless could find minutes under thibs when he started quite a few games for a playoff team last year.
I apologize
No worries. Bayless has been terrible the past couple games, but I wouldn't be unhappy with him returning as a 3rd option next year if either Rose or Teague moves on...but no more than a third option to be used only if someone gets hurt. Like this year.
Ya, I mean that is what we might have to settle for we have no cap space and we might provide an opportunity for him. But ya Bayless is going back to the mean of his ability.

It seems that Ryan, whether on his own or with orders from above, is going to really see if Wiggins can become something the remainder of the season. If it continues like this, I might be done watching Timberwolves basketball until next season...

I am fine with Wiggins being our 2nd option just because we need him to be our 2nd option (even though it is a lost cause). But there shouldn't be a single game where Towns doesn't get the most shots. 12 more shots for Wiggins instead of KAT is pathetic. That should never happen.

It makes sense if you are determined to turn Wiggins into an all star. I don't agree with it. But if they need to go through this exercise to confirm the need to cut bait, then so be it.

Things Im worried about
1) Even when the players come back from injury, we will have nothing to play for so the energy won't pick up.
2) Taj looks like he knows the season is over and his effort has dropped a ton.
3) That the team is not playing hard to keep Ryan job
4) WE got no value for any of our expiring vets at the trade deadline.
5) KAT playing selfish to make All NBA, he has done it before.
6) Sleepy Wiggins is back
7) We don't have young guys to give minute to. KBD is the only guy who could see minutes who is young who isn't
8) No realistic hope going forward, we have approx 95 mil locked up in KAT, Wiggins, Teague and Gorgui next year. No cap to add players and our solid role players this year are due for a raise if we want them back (Tyus and Rose)
9) If im the Wolves, in the offseason, I would offer KAT and Wiggins to the Pelicans for Davis. Then I would flip Davis and Gorgui to hopefully the Knicks for the #1 pick, smith and Knox. I hate to rebuild again but realistically I don't know how we can build around KAT. We need to restart (It sucks I know). I just don't know how we win with Taylor as the owner and Layden as the GM (way to conservative to get us out of the hole we are in)
Towns isn't being selfish. That's silly. His assists are up. Actually I think he's passing too much sometimes. He takes fewer shots than Wiggins. Is Wiggins selfish?
KAT's a great player who is still barely 23 years old. The problem is that he has little talent around him. The challenge to this organization is to find a way to build around him. That will be difficult with the Wiggins and Gorgui contracts wrapped around the team's neck. But they have to find a way.
The first key is the organization realizing that it should be in a build mode around KAT rather than trying to hold on and possibly eek out an 8th seed. Once they accept that reality, they can start doing smarter things like starting Saric, playing KBD and positioning themselves for a better draft pick.

I agree it's pretty hopeless. The talent level is very low, minimal to no assets, and nonfront office. And I also agree dealing Kat in the near future might be the play.
That last lazy play by Wig (where he coasted in for the easy dunk and got blocked from behind) is the last straw for me. My gal is still in his corner and suggested he possibly slowed down to try to draw the and one, but I don't think he has the IQ to do that...his lazyness was on full display in that sequence.
Josh had his second consecutive decent offensive game, but Wig has completley lost his abilty to shoot. His disgraceful 10-28 now has him at 37% his last five (despite a 13-23 in an empty stat game against Utah) and 21% on threes. He's a career 44% shooter, but he's shooting a disgraceful 39% this season. If your shooting stinks that bad, at least show some heart...but instead he gets blocked from behind when he has two steps on the defender...worst play of the season!

I get the despair...I'm feeling it too after a horrible loss to a bad team. And I'm not saying that a complete rebuild isn't the best option. But I think we need to see what this team can do healthy before blowing it up. I don't know that a starting lineup of KAT-Saric-RoCo-Josh-Jones with Rose, Wig, Taj and Teague backing them up can't finish the season strong and provide some hope. But I guess we'll never know if RoCo can't return healthy enough to contribute.

First of all, Glen isn't going to cut Ryan off at the knees by gutting the team. Glen said he wanted to see what Ryan could do with the team for the rest of the year.
Kek if you are trading KAT and Wig for Davis and then Davis and G for the #1, Smith, and Knox, don't you just trade KAT, Wig and G for the trio. I am not sure how the Knicks got the first pick though, and while I can see an argument for a team moving #1 for KAT, I don't see how Smith and Knox are had for Wig and G. That is absolutely insane.
Duke, what is it you expect to get for KAT that is somehow going to help this team?
