Klutch sports is clearly pushing AD to the lakers. The timing makes too much sense considering that the only other realistic bidders are the celtics, and they cant make an offer till the off season.

I want my Denver-Indiana finals this year. Just to watch Silver's head explode. I know I know, the refs won't let 2 Midwest teams make it.

Milwaukee and Denver. I know the league hates that Giannis is content in Milwaukee. But they love the timing of this request from paul.

I don't think that's realistic.

Would love to hear your idea.

monster laid it out nicely...

But we've talked about Teague and Wiggins being liabilities with the money owed each of them. Why would NO give up a Top 5-esque player for two terrible contracts and two middling/bad 1st round picks?

So what you're saying is we are not a good trade partner for NO. I get that. Although i don't see Teague's contract as a liability. If traded he's probably going to opt out, which would be good for the Pels. Once they trade AD they need to do a classic rebuild anyway.

There are going to be so much better offers for AD. Just some offers that Zach Lowe thinks that the pelicans are going to receive.

Lakers: Ball/Kuzma/Ingram/1st

Celtics: Taytum/rozier and a 1st or Hayward/ brown/ Rozier/ smart/ kings pick and Grizzlies pick.

Knicks: Porzingas and an unprotected 1st (could be zion)

76ers: Butler/fultz/ heat 2021 unprotected 1st or Ben Simmons and filler.

Raptors: Siakam/OG/Valuncunics/1st

Nets: Russell/Allen/ 2 1sts

Bulls: Marrkannan/Carter/unprotected 1st

Nuggets: Murray/ Barton/Lyles and picks

Kings: Hield/Bagley and picks.

All those offers are better then we can offer that don't include Towns. We don't have good young players like the other teams do. Now maybe we can get in on Holiday or Mirotic or Randle but we are not even close to be able to acquire AD

Wow, I want to get in to some of this with you. Talk about the grass is greener on the other side.
akers: Ball/Kuzma/Ingram/1st

Are you kidding me? Ball is damnear a bust. Kuzma and Ingram are nice players but most likely never all stars. A first at the end of the first round. Doesn't sound like much to me.

Celtics: Taytum/rozier and a 1st or Hayward/ brown/ Rozier/ smart/ kings pick and Grizzlies pick.

One good young starter in Tatum, but the 2nd option is slightly better due to the picks

Knicks: Porzingas and an unprotected 1st (could be zion)

They would have to wait to see how high the pick would actually be. If it's not top 3 this is a terrible deal for the Pels

76ers: Butler/fultz/ heat 2021 unprotected 1st or Ben Simmons and filler.

The first option is laughable. The oft injured Butler and Fultz and a middling #1. Nice try. The 2nd option is better but why would the Sixers do that?

Raptors: Siakam/OG/Valuncunics/1st

I won't even comment on this one.

Nets: Russell/Allen/ 2 1sts

This trade works for no one.

Bulls: Marrkannan/Carter/unprotected 1st

This is better than the Wolves offer I threw out? I suppose if it's a top 3 pick it's possible.

Nuggets: Murray/ Barton/Lyles and picks

Thanks for playing.

Kings: Hield/Bagley and picks.

What picks?

Just because players are on other teams, doesn't mean they are great Geek. Wiggins, with Expiring Teague and Gibson, and two firsts is on par with most of these ideas.

I honestly believe that every deal is that lowe mentioned would be better then a deal centered around wiggins.

Don't get me wrong I defend Wiggins a lot but he is a guy who has proven he needs the ball to succeed but he is inefficient. He is probably around a -10 million in sunk cost in his contract and there have been no tangible improvements to his game over 5 years.

Our picks would be in the mid-late first round. Teague is also not for sure an expiring.

Every other deal listed would acquire a quality better young player than Wiggins (arguable)and might not have to give the max to them.

It's very possible BUT I also think it's possible that AD made this request to put the Pels in a good position to make smart decisions the next few weeks and months. They could have been buyers before the deadline and now they know to be sellers instead and if someone before the deadline offers them something worthwhile (draft picks etc) for Any player they know it may make sense to do that deal. The trade deadline is Feb 7. That's enough time to have a deal go through but it's not really a ton of time just a little over a week. These types of deals for star players are said to take a while.

There's an underbelly of agent seediness in today's NBA... and it gets even more shady when you consider the close relationship between Rich Paul (Klutch Sports) and LeBron James.

It's extremely likely a power play move to LA has been in the works since the day Davis became a Klutch client.

Just this week, I've heard why a Simmons for Davis trade can't work because both are Klutch clients... AND how a Davis + Embiid pairing wouldn't work because Embiid is a CAA guy. Wait. What?

Ugh. I really hate this TMZ crap.

[Note: I'm not suggesting such a trade is good... only the reasons cited for why it wouldn't happen by reputable NBA insiders.]

And no offense to Cool... but Zach Lowe speaks directly to NBA insiders every day. It's literally his job to put together lists like that based off what he knows and what he's been told.

He MIGHT have more insider knowledge about the value of specific players around the league than we do.

AD clearly doesn't give two shits about the Pels, or he wouldn't have come out and stated his refusal to sign with other teams.

The owners need to rid themselves of the guaranteed contracts in the next CBA. It is really the only weapon they have to try and save competion in the league. Maybe go to a hard cap as well.

How will the non-guaranteed deals help?
