Dieng was atrocious in my opinion. Jim was right when he said he's lost his confidence because he knows Thibs is frustrated with him. Still getting paying time though, so he needs to just figure out his emotions and play better. The fun basketball wasnt going to continue forever, especially against a team like the Griz

Not too many teams play that style of defense so I expect the up tempo game to show up most nights. The most frustrating part of yesterday's game was what appeared to be a total lack of energy. They looked like a team playing their fifth road game in 7 nights, not one in the midst of a five game homestand with at least one day of rest between games.

If one game like this is all it takes for the honeymoon to be over I guess the vows weren't taken very seriously. Like you said we were going to lose at some point.

Dieng has a couple boneheaded plays but he also had 6 rebounds and block and actually did some good things defensively. I actually disagree with Jim Peterson. I don't think Dieng has lost his confidence if he had he wouldn't have jacked up that 3 in the corner that looked pretty good but was a little short. I was as down on him a few weeks ago as anyone but he looks like he is back to being the solid player with faults he was 2 years ago.

It's Thibs fault we couldn't score but damn the Grizz seemed to have a hell of a lot more to do with it than anything else. Prompts to them. Time to live for another day and go out and try and get better. Marc Gasol is another guy that could cost Towns some big money as a possible all NBA center.

I actually feel a little better about this game after sitting on it for a day. Monster is happy the Wolves outrebounded the Griz, but the Griz are the worst rebounding team in the league. But there's a reason that Q points out...the Griz are less interested in offensive rebounds than any team in the league, and being coached to get back on defense as soon as a shot is launched makes them impossible to fast break on. So I've come to grips with the Wolves inability to run yesterday.

This doesn't absolve Thibs from his lack of rotation creativity, but at least I understand why our pace was so slow. We need to find a way to beat the Griz though.

Griz are 4th in the NBA in defensive rebounding percentage. Their low pace has then near the bottom in rebounding. And yes they aren't high in offensive rebounding. When JaMychal Green is the smallest big you have on the floor and you also play Kyle anderson at SF...that's a big squad.

Whose honeymoon? If we're talking about Thibodeau, I'd say that over 2 years puts him well beyond the honeymoon phase. We should be making our way to the divorce court. :)

I was only able to watch the game on my smart phone, but it seemed to me we played a "stupid" game. We attacked in areas where we did not have an advantage. Teague, Wiggins, and KAT were all guilty of making poor decisions throughout the game. I want those guys as interested in creating scoring opportunities for others as they are at scoring for themselves.
