Entertaining game, even without RoCo. Can't help but think we win this with Okogie in the starting/closing role. Heck, we might have won if we didn't fall so short on the bad-ref-call list.

Oh well. Gotta think this team has a lot more wins coming.

Wish we had Dario in for Taj and okogie in for rose (or teague i guess) down the stretch...

Game over on the shoulders of teague and rose.

Nope they completely froze him out in the 4th

Yeah, it was obvious. So i guess people will blame wiggins for not demanding the ball from teague or rose.

A winnable game completely lost due to thibs' rotations and overreliance on teague/rose overdribble-probe-iso game.

His only role was to inbound the ball to teague or rose.

Either the players or thibs lost confidence in him after the 3rd quarter. I have no idea what happened at the break.

Rose missed Saric 10 possession in a row for a wide open 3. It wasn't only wig who was froze out.

I've ripped Wig a lot obviously. Too me watching him the last 4.5 years it been like watching the movie Groundhog Day. Same thing game after game, same moves, Sam shots, no hustle, etc... The 4-5 games he's been a bit different. I know a lot of people have commented on the improved defense. But offensively recent, a little more agreessive going to the hoop, my eyes popped out of my head the other night when he went turn around but did a fake and drop step move, used his left hand at the rim. Just a little more diversified it seem recently. BTW, I love Jim Pete, I've been saying Tibs is usin gthia roster wring since the trade. And his stubbornness to play two bigs at all times is so frustrating.

I'm getting a bit sick of the 2 pg lineups. It's ok offensively but cost us on D. A little more length and Dame doesn't get that shot off.

I've said this before but RoCo should be our 4 in closing lineups 90% of the time. That leaves Teague, Rose and Wig at the wings. I'd rather see Okogie in there somewhere but not realistic unfortunately, because you know Teague will be in there. For this team to actualize it's potenial Okogie needs to play 30 minutes. He's gonna make mistakes but the dude is so talented. Taj plays 18 minutes, Saric 30-32 and Gorgui 8-10. That's the lineup. Glad others are seeing it now after Jim Pete went full frontal tonight on Tibs. I could believe when he said "these lineup combination make no sense". I said it much earlier, like 2 minutes in when he automatically put G in for Kat with zero understanding of matchups.

I'm seeing a lot of finger-pointing at Thibs, but none really at Derrick Rose. There is absolutely no reason for him to shoot 25 times on this team. Not to mention, I thought he was out of control on both ends for most of the game. I get it, it's on Thibs for deciding to start him and allow him to lead the team in minutes tonight, but individual performances have to be accounted for. Rose showed exactly why you have to limit him to a spark plug/sixth man type role for him to have any chance at making a positive impact.

I love Rose, but agree he should not be taking 25 shots for this team...missed a lot of big ones down the stretch. In all fairness though we need to acknowledge his 9 assists against only 2 TOs. But when you need 25 shots to get only 18 points, it's easy to see why he was a -12 on the night despite his 9 dimes.

A winning coach has the ability to recognize the guys who are playing best on that particular night and ride them at the end. But Thibs decides to play Rose (-12) over Okogie (+7), Gibson (-14) over Saric (+6) and Teague (-19) over Jones (+11)...in all three cases our bonehead coach made the wrong choice. It's interesting that all three guys who he left on the bench are known for moving the ball, while the three he left on the court are generally ball-stoppers. If that doesn't tell you why Wig didn't touch the ball in the 4th quarter, and why Thibs is holding this team back, I don't think anything will.

I guess we should take some solace that we hung with a good team on their court with our best player out, but this game was ours for the taking. Geez, up 6 with not much time on the clock...you gotta win that game. Yep, this one hurts a little.
