2019-2020 Timberwolves win prediction thread
So the season is near, let's do this. Vegas has the Wolves at 35.5 Wins.
I think the Wolves take a step forward, everyone but Wiggins. Culver is a nice addition but cannot win ROY who is of course Zion. Wolves defense improves. Teague playing for contract. Wolves also stay mostly healthy.
They surprise to the upside with 42 wins. :thumb:

35.5 sounds about right. I'll go with 36.

29 wins, and we should be *happy* to get to that.
Towns individually dominates the box scores and his overall team impact actually improves, mainly because of a better defensive effort, but the pieces around him are much worse than last season and are less experienced in general. I think we're going to see Towns go supernova in the nightly stat lines with wins hard to come by.
Culver will become a starter by the end of the year -- hopefully sooner -- and show that he has some serious potential to be more, but there will be growing pains along the way as he figures out how to effectively leave his mark.
It's just very difficult for me to believe that the Wolves allow Taj Gibson, Dario Saric, Derrick Rose, Tyus Jones, and Anthony Tolliver to leave this off-season and replace them with the likes of Jake Layman, Shabazz Napier, Jordan Bell, Noah Vonleh, and some talented-but-unproven rookies, AND get better in the win column while the rest of the Western Conference added serious, needle-moving players. That's just not what history shows me.

RoCo is coming back as well, the Wolves 2nd best player. With RoCo the Wolves were like .667 win%? I forget the exact number but they were good. Had he stayed in the lineup, which is what I am hoping this season, then the Wolves likely make the playoffs last year.
Taj isn't what he use to be, his defense was below avg. Same with the other guys, weak on defense. I think the defense does actually become solid this season. It may even rub off on Wiggins. Having guys who try all around like KAT, RoCo, Culver (hopefully), will provide the boost. Wolves are going to shoot more 3's, improve defensively. That said, I am being optimistic they stay healthy. Which is something hard to predict.

35. Vegas knows about these things. Towns plays great, Wig is better, Culver helps, Napier is a good player. But last year's board darling Okogie sucks, KBD isn't much better and it's going to take a long time for all this change to take hold.

Okogie was actually a better player than Wiggins was last year. And I always thought the board darling was Ryan Saunders for obvious reasons. I do agree that this current Wolves situation is going to take a while to turn around. A lot needs to be done on Rosas' end.

24, we are going to be bad, really bad. Outside of Kat we have average to below average basketball players. The defense has been pathetic so far in the preseason. If Kat gets hurt we might have the worst roster in the NBA.
Every player we added this offseason you can make an argument that they are worse than the players that we lost.
Also we are shooting more 3s and playing faster but so far its a one pass chuck a 3 offense. We also haven't shot many corner 3s through 2 games.

Im guessing 27 but for a different reason. I think Rosas deals most of this team away outside of KAT and Culver. If they stay together my guess would be 37.

My guess is you think we deal Teague and Cov then? Because they are the only 2 guys on the team that we could realistically trade and effect winning in a negative way
