If the value's right, then sure. He's not necessarily untouchable like Karl-Anthony Towns is. However, he's not the wing that I'd be trying to trade as of right now.

Well the guy said Jimmy thinks he can get a better deal elsewhere which is actually incorrect and the woman was surprised he turned down the extension. That's all I need to hear to know these two don't have a clue what they are talking about. More clickbait.

The video loses all creditability with me when the lady says he should take the deal. (Ya let's leave 70 mil on the table that's smart).

I understand everyone who says let's trade Jimmy. I disagree but I get where you are coming from. Also I would have done doncic for butler if it were possible but I just keep going back to we were the 3rd seed when Jimmy was healthy, and that is with the worst bench in the NBA and Kat and Wiggins not taking a major leap.

I just believe that the wolves could end up as the 2nd best team in the west this year if Kat and Wiggins do what they need to do and take the next step. Also Warriors will have Klay and Durant as free agents next year. AI another year older, Curry ankles and having cousins and Draymond on the same team. There is a chance that the warriors could start to slowly crumble.

I know it is a really small chance but I do believe in my heart of heart that the wolves could compete in 2 to 3 years, when Kat and Wiggins hypothetically enter their primes and Jimmy will be nearing the end.

We'll see I am willing to risk Jimmy leaving because I do believe something can be built with this core

That's a reasonable perspective, Geek. The problem with focusing on where we were in the standings before Jimmy's knee injury is the fact that he typically misses around 15 games per season. So last season was pretty much the norm with him. Note also that KAT, Wiggins and Gibson played every or nearly every game last season while Teague only missed a fairly limited number of games. What are the odds of that repeating next season? Note also that Thibs said KAT and Wiggins did, in fact, take the next step last season. In addition, note that Denver played most of the season without Millsap and the Lakers will likely vault into the playoffs this season. Thibs said our problem last season was the bench. Unless our two rookies pan out as this season, which is a reach for any rookie, our bench really hasn't improved much if at all. So we'll see what happens, but it seems to me moving forward with Butler and the significant risk he leaves as a free agent next summer is problematic.

If it were up to me, I'd move on from Butler this summer and would have done so on draft night. But I'll admit I could be wrong. And since we know Thibodeau won't move on from Butler this summer, we'll all have the chance to see if this team can go to the next level with Butler, KAT and Wiggins leading the way. It's definitely plausible and if that's the situation on opening night, I'll be as excited as anyone about the possibility.

Jimmy's injury last year isn't his norm though. He played almost 10 less games last year than his average of the last 4 years in Chicago combined. We were 37-22 with him in the lineup. That's a 62.7% winning percentage. So if you put him on the court for the 10 more games he actually plays on a yearly basis that's 6 wins out of 10. There's at least 2 more wins in those 10 games if not more which makes us the 3 seed if he plays his normal amount of games. He missed 23 games last year so that's just not his normal as you suggest and given the difference between the 3 and the 8 of just 2 games, those extra 8-10 games missed were a huge deal that isn't normal.

Also KAT and Wiggins just don't miss games. There's no luck involved when they've missed a combined 1 game in the 7 combined years they've played. They're complete iron men so there shouldn't be any luck considered when talking about them playing all the games. That's just what they do. We were still on the lower end of the injury luck scale for our player history with Teague and Jimmy missing more time than normal and only Taj playing more than normal. Everyone else was par for the course.

At the end of the day we are talking about 2 wins after a significant injury to our best player took him out for longer than normal. I think everyone is vastly underrating this team. We will be the 3 seed this year if Jimmy plays those 8-10 more games and if he plays the 76 games like his last year in Chicago we might be pushing for the 2 seed.
