Another guy I'd consider is Musa. I really like his offensive game. Looks a bit like a point-forward shooting version of Rubio.

I wouldnt put any stock on who we are working out. Remember we worked out Ben Bentil what like 7 times

This franchise usually has a history of only selecting from the list of guys they work out because I guess Glen feels like if you don't feel like working out or interviewing for us, then you don't wanna be here at all.

I would say before Thibs sure, but now no. I am pretty positive that Patton did not work out with the Wolves.

I think the Euros are interesting this year, Musa near 20 and even eying Kulbolka at 40. Both can shoot and are good with the ball.

I agree there appear to be some good Euro prospects this year. In addition to his impressive shooting prowess, Musa is an excellent ballhandler and passer. I really like his offensive game. He's someone I could get excited about at #20. I'd still go with Okogie with Thomas as my next choice. But if neither of those two is available, I'd seriously consider Musa along with Frazier. I'd stay away from Jacob Evans.

Well, the good news is it seems like there are quite a number of solid prospects at #20 (I guess?). We'll see how things play out.

If Patton wasn't on this team I'd absolutely take a shot at Omari Spellman, but that would be overkill.

Not sure if Spellman and Patton should be opposition as you make them in this statement. I think Spellman could be seen as the replacement for Bjelica. Big man that rebounds and can shoot 3's. Dude shot 43% on high volume of 3's as a freshman. I know we think we just need a wing, but I am simply not sold on Bjelica due to not only injury issues, but consistency issues as well. Dude runs way too hot and cold for my tastes. If Spellman projects better than the wings at this spot, I take him and let Bjelica walk. Use FA money to sign wing (and yes, I realize they are scarce commodities as well). My thinking is that we need QUALITY depth on this team, despite position.

The latest nbadraft.net mock has us taking Anfernee Simons at 20. He's a very athletic high school player eligible for the draft. I can't imagine PBO Thibs drafting him, and certainly can't imagine coach Thibs playing him.

More likely is the Ringer's pick at 20, Keita Bates-Diop. The 4-year OSU forward isn't the lights out shooter this club might want, but he would be a good defensive option at SF and a guy it seems Thibs might prefer over others in the draft.

"2008 3rd pick - Kevin Love (technically OJ) 4th pick - Rus Westbrook

2009 6th pick - Jonny Flynn 7th pick - Steph Curry

18th pick - MIN - Ty Lawson (traded immediately for a future 1st) 19th pick - ATL - Jeff Teague (just funny that we paid big time for a guy we could have had - I know it's nearly a decade later, but still)

28th pick - MIN - Wayne Ellington who we'd all love to come back to us for the MLE this year

45th pick - MIN - Nick Calathes 46th pick - CLE - Danny Green

2010 4th pick - MIN - Wes Johnson 5th pick - SAC - Boogie Cousins

2011 2nd pick - MIN - Derrick Williams 3rd pick - UTA - Enes Canter

2012 No 1st rounder - Sam Cassell + 1st for Marko Jaric + Lionel Chambers. The 1st rounder was pick 10 and turned into Austin Rivers.

2013 14th pick - MIN - Shabazz Muhammad (technically traded, but still) 15th pick - MIL - Giannis

26th pick - MIN traded this + Malcolm Brown to GS for future 2nd rounder 27th pick - DEN - Rudy Gobert

2014 40th pick - MIN - Glenn Robinson III 41st pick - DEN - Nikola Jokic

44th pick - MIN - Markel Brown 45th pick - CHA - Dwight Powell (4th in TS% this year of guys who played 20+ mins per game)"

Look for the 21st pick of this year's draft to be an All-Star for years to come :)

FWIW the latest DE/ESPN mock has us taking Donte V. Where they had us taking Diop. I'm not a fan of Diop I don't think his measureables are that impressive and I hear he has problems with his motor. I don't know that much about him though.

The reality is there are probably 10 guys I wouldn't really mind the Wolves taking at #20 there are some guys so would prefer and some guys I would find it easy to get excited about like Donte. Some guys there are other players I would prefer someone else like Grayson Allen but I wouldn't hate the pick. I am pretty sure it was Jon K that said in his last podcast (listened to a bunch this morning at work) it looks very much like the Wolves are focusing wings which they said they needed to focus on in the offseason in the end of season press conference.
