hes a volume 3 pt guy out of florida that could make some noise. he probably the best shooter on the roster, but cant see floor time.

He needs to be out there. They desperately need someone that can make a shot from beyond 3 feet.

Koulechov looked good in shoot-around when I was in Vegas. He was clearly healthy. Not sure why he's not getting any playing time. I'm also surprised Barford hasn't gotten more than a couple minutes.

Wow, now I get the Okogie love. Jesus he is freakin' all over the place. Definitely reminds me of Dunn.

Well, it's clear the Wolves don't have any up-and-coming 3-point shooters on their Summer League Squad - or if they do they're not playing them.

The Wolves Summer League squad plays like our NBA team -- isolation ball, lots of contested two-pointers, players repeatedly passing up threes in favor or driving into traffic. It's no wonder that Thibs hired Lucas. He's a true coaching disciple of Thibodeau.

I LOVE this team the way they played their asses off in these games. Guess what...guys don't always make shots. Pistons went 6-24. That's not good either.

Okogie 4 blocks and 2 steals. Ridiculous the guy looks more like Smart at this point than Dunn and that's quite the compliment. Maybe he gets turned around at times but his ability to recover laterally and strong is very impressive.

KBD had plenty of nice moments.

Amile was one of the catalysts of the comeback. The guy just balls out with everything you can ask out of him.

Bruce Brown looked really good. He was a guy i liked for where he was supposed to get picked. Pistons had a pretty nice draft. I'll take Okogie over Thomas though and I still like him.

Did we end up as the lowest scoring summer league team ever? That was some bad offense.

So typical that we struggle to shoot the ball. It's especially concerning to see our two draft choices struggle from outside. Small sample size theater and all, but god damn, we struggle to find and develop shooters.

Okogie is a bundle of energy and athleticism, but honestly, I don't think he's ready to play in an NBA rotation yet. Terrible handles, terrible shot, terrible finisher and at times undisciplined defense that he won't be able to recover from at the next level. I love the motor and grit, but he needs to refine his game big time and do a ton of skill work. I'd send him to the G-League and really focus on getting another wing at the vet minimum so we aren't forced to play Okogie.

KBD is almost the opposite of Okogie in that he plays a fairly disciplined, methodical type of ball on both ends of the floor. He definitely looks much more in control and his shot mechanics are smooth. Still....not enough of them went in. I think he can get some spot minutes behind Taj and Tolliver at the 4. I have a hard time seeing him play the 3, but we'll see.

Q - I agree completely with your take on Okogie. I generally agree with your take on KBD as well, but I'm confident he can play the 3. As Flip used to say, your position is dictated by who you can guard. KBD moves well laterally and showed the ability to defend 3s like Anunoby among others in Summer League. I don't like his handle, so I think he'll be limited primarily to catch-and-shoot role on the offensive end regardless of position.

Monster, did you attend "60 Win Tim's" summer camp for apologists and outrageously optimistic fans?
