Is there anything more meaningless than who rounds out the Wolves roster? I mean unless we get a rash of injuries what does it matter?

I just noticed the Knicks waived him. I'd take him over any of the other young guys for our 14th roster spot. But I'd still sign Beasley to our 13th spot. If we filled the 15th spot, I'd use it to sign Luke Babbit.
I think I might still take Traveon Graham over Troy Williams because he seems like the most proven 3 and D guy although the upside is not particular high. Having said that watching Williams highlights he remeinds me a bit of Wiggins in general skillset and even body type. Obviously he isn't as talented but it sounds like he plays hard and runs the floor. He isn't a good 3 point shooter but he at least seems willing to get them up. He doesn't turn 24 till December. Quite a few Knicks fans seemed disappointed he was waived but they simply didn't have a roster spot for him.

I certainly think it can be meaningful who is at the end of the roster. Tolliver is just one of many examples of NBA rotation players that were the end of roster type guys that turned into something more.

Depends on the position. We are one wing injury away from using a yet-to-be-signed player in our regular rotation. That matters in a conference where just a couple wins could separate the #3 or 4 seed from the #7 or 8 seed.

Q, are there any Andrew Wiggins trades that come to mind? Would you even entertain trading him this fall?

You hit the nail on the head, Q. Right now, I don't see anyone among the available unrestricted free agents who can be counted on to keep the Wolves afloat if one of our two starting wings goes down for a stretch. The closest thing to that caliber player among the available UFAs is Michael Beasley. He's proven that he can score 20 points and pull down 8 rebounds a game consistently for stretches as a SF at the NBA level. There is no other available UFA who has shown the ability to do that. That's why, absent a trade, the Wolves need to sign Beasley to one of their remaining roster spots.

Cam, trade ideas aren't in my wheelhouse, so I usually don't spend much time trying to figure out what might work, matching salaries, etc. You have definitely come up with some compelling ideas on the Wiggins front.
I would absolutely entertain a Wiggins trade, but I believe the market for him is extremely limited and I'm not sure what kind of contracts we would have to take back. I believe the Wolves have quietly assessed this situation and concluded that keeping him is their best option for now, mostly because his max deal and mediocre play rules out any other options.
I will say this. He is a reliable 3-point shot away from being a plus contributor. I still hold out hope for this as it is within the realm of possibility. He's always going to have poor hands, a weak handle, and questionable motor. But if he can start knocking down 3's, it would have a very large impact on both sides of the ball IMO.
