Rose hit like 75% of his corner 3's in the playoffs last year and was one of the few guys who played with energy and speed on the whole team. You act like we are talking like we would have MVP Rose and DPOY Noah if he came here and we aren't. We're talking about league minimum role players. And that's what they can be and that's what this team needs. Guys who can play 15 minutes a night who actually know how to play basketball. Guys who know Thibs system to get even more voices in the locker room to get that into young players heads. There may have been drama in the past, but did we hear anything last year between Jimmy and Rose aka the biggest rift that tore the Bulls apart. No we didn't and Rose was even willing to re-sign here at the minimum. Rose and Noah are role players now while Jimmy is still a top 15 guy. Ego's usually shift when that happens. If Towns or G could make anywhere near the impact of Noah defensively we wouldn't even be talking about this, but 2 of our 3 main bigs are some of the worst defensive bigs in the league so we are stuck probably needing a guy like Noah to help.

Like I said, I don't care if Noah has an attitude. The guy can't play. Everything you're asking of Noah is essentially what you're asking of an assistant coach. Might as well hire Keith Bogans as an assistant or something.

Until some of these guys tell themselves to play better defense, it's not gonna matter. Wiggins (and eventually Towns) are gonna be making max money yet they still need their hands held. That's a problem. I can see needing veterans for guys like Patton, Okogie, Terrell, nd KBD, but if Jimmy can't get through to Towns and Wiggins, or the guy who is really supposed to be doing it, coach Thibs, then adding in Noah who can no longer show him better than he can tell him won't help.

as for the toxic nature of this team now, long story short, this is where they are:
Everyone knows Towns sucks on defense and everyone knows Wiggins is dangerously close to being wasted talent. Even if Butler is being an ass about this situation, he has enough respect around the league to where players listen to him, so if Butler is allegedly sick of them two, good luck finding a player similar to Butler's caliber who won't get sick of them too until they get their crap together, if they ever do (especially Wiggins).

I don't think it's a stretch to think Noah can be a more effective big on the 2nd unit compared to the play last year. G was God awful, if he improves this year great, I hope we don't need a vet min guy to replace him. Either way our 2nd unit needs more than we got last year. I'm fine with trying anything since we had one of the worst bench units in the league last year.

Noah cant play 30 minutes or have the offense run through him as much anymore. But i still think he can bottle up that energy abd give us a strong 10 minutes as the defensive anchor.

I agree, Doper. The advanced stats show that Gorgui was about as bad as anyone can be defensively last season as was our entire second unit. So I'm more than willing to take a flyer on Noah to fill our 14th roster spot on a vet minimum deal. I hope it happens.

I understand your thoughts in theory but will guys accept their role. Will Noah not bitch if he is the 3rd string center. I mean he has gotten into fights with thibs and hornaceck these last few years. The teams chemistry is already rocky don't know how much upside bringing a 34 year old huge personality who has played 82 games the last 3 years combined.

I would rather have Cole. Or a young guy from the G League

Crawfords issues with the wolves and why we he chose to leave:

He is looking for a larger role, though, as Crawford only played roughly 20 minutes a game with the Timberwolves. Crawford says he made the mistake of not thinking about his fit in Minnesota before signing with the club.

"Fit is first and foremost when I'm thinking about where I'll play next," Crawford told Percy Allen of The Seattle Times. "Last year, I may have made the mistake of not thinking fit all the way through. You look at my career, when the fit was right, I contributed on the court."

During an interview with Brandon 'Scoop B' Robinson on Scoop B Radio last week, Crawford said the lack of minutes he got with the Timberwolves was a big issue for him.

"First off, minutes, that was definitely an issue," Crawford told Brandon 'Scoop B' Robinson on Scoop B Radio. "It really was, because I didn't know it would be like that. At this stage, you want to be out there as much as possible. I understand in certain situations you won't play as much, but I was expecting one thing and it just didn't go that way, so I think that's when it started. From there, you just try to be as professional as possible and do the best you can to try and provide whatever you can while you're out there and try to help your team."

If you look prior to last year, Dieng had good advance stats. Crawford, Bazz and Rose were three of the worst players in the NBA based on plus minus stats and Dieng was stuck playing with them. With a better bench, look for Dieng's plus minus stats to snap back.
