Teague does have to figure out a way to fit in better, but we're not quite at Tyus Time yet.

We need both for now. Nice balance. I went into the season a bit worried about Tyus as a back up, it really says a lot for his play that this is even a conversation.

We're starting Teague, as we should.

I think we're in the perfect spot on this right now. Tyus won't get any big offers because he doesn't have the chance to show enough so we can lock him in for 4 years at a decent price this summer. Then we can deal Teague whenever we want.

Agreed. Teague has taken some heat here for sure. I think his highs and lows are more extreme than a lot of players making the feelings of him more dramatic. Ultimately, he has been the PG for a top 5 offense with decent but not great stats. People can nitpick with the advanced analytics about him but I don't see the huge problem. Next year when his contract is getting in the way it may be more of an issue to me, but overall I am failing to see the big problem other than he has a knack for making the noticeable mistake.

He (along with everyone else on the squad) is also part of a bottom 5 defense or close to it. His effort level comes and goes on that end. And since neither of his wings are good floor spacers (not his fault of course) he ends up dribbling into a crowd a lot. We just have a very limited area to operate in versus most of the other top teams that have multiple guys taking and making multiple 3's per game.
