Wiggins and KAT defense improvement

Have been making progress. I am happy to see it. The defense has improved tremendously since they have made the progress as well.

Now, no time to settle. Get better everyday. I want to see them contend at some point. Likely not this year, though they could win a series (maybe 2, ok done dreaming).

After the first couple months I was very worried they might not ever get there. But as long as I keep seeing progress and effort, I'm happy.

Yeah, I haven't even felt the motivation to post a negative GDT recently. I guess I'm just going to have to get used to winning, though I'm not sure how that's even done at this point.

Me, neither. I don't want to get TOO positive though. They still have a long ways to go to catch a team like the Warriors.

But as much as I ripped Wiggins and KAT, I just thought I'd balance it out now by sending some love.

Both have improved defensively this year and Wiggins is gradually learning how to be a 3rd fiddle and play off these guys. It would be nice if he were a more efficient offensive player. He still gets way too many shot attempts for how inaccurate he is and the horrid shot selections he makes.....one of the least efficient scoring wings in the NBA.

KAT on the other hand is becoming a superstar. And now that he is finding guys with his passing, he should be getting even more touches. Butler-KAT-Teague should be the key triumvirate of our offense, with Taj and Wig playing off of those three for good looks.

I agree Q. Wiggins has been shooting a little better over his last 10 games or so though. Still some bad shots, you're right. He does seem to be struggling to finish around the rim a bit. His 3 ball looks better. I think he was around 40% over his last 10 games on 3P.

Insofar as the team is winning games and improved defensively, Wiggins deserves some credit. He is figuring out how to impact games without scoring. If he didn't just sign a max deal, I'd probably be OK with him. But he's not even close to the kind of player that deserves that deal. It's a massive overpay for a massive underachiever. He is still young, so may be he suddenly figures it all out.
