Go through the thread and you'll see other observations made about Wiggins, some positive and some negative. There was balance. This is getting made into a bigger deal than it ever should have been.
- Some good, simple post moves tonight.
- Some nice passes leading to wide open opportunities, namely the dish to Gibson in the paint and Tyus at the break. Only got credited for two assists.
- Another solid game defensively, including two steals.
- Six rebounds is a good night for him, especially when Towns and Gibson snatch 21 combined.
- Still can't make three-pointers (1-4 tonight, 32% on the season).
- Blows layups when he could, and should, dunk the ball instead.
- Still an atrocious FT shooter (1-3 tonight, 63% on the season).
- Inefficient scoring is going to remain a problem with him (7-20).
How's that for balance? Four good, four not-so-good remarks on Wiggins' game tonight.

Yeah, that line surprised me because I thought he was noticeable out there in a good way.

It's okay, I'm not worked up about it. I really don't care whether you like him or not.

He still isn't good on that end but the last month or so he has been better and at least making a few splash plays.

I wasn't happy about that matchup either. It was a tough cover for Dieng. I did see in a replay once where Beas blew past him Dieng did get back into the play and was close to getting the block. On the other hand I thought Belly was absolutely terrific chasing McDermott all over the floor. He was on him big time. He has gotten burned against some of those guys and I thought it was a bad matchup. Really nice game for Belly.

Crawford. We need every bit of outside shooting that we can get.
Yep and he is better shot creator for himself and others. Beas is more efficient though although he doesn't take many 3's.

.5 game back of the 3 seed
I was 100% wrong about the Taj Gibson signing. He along with Butler were EXACTLY what this team needed. I didn't realize he was so damn good in the post. We never saw that at OKC!
I liked the signing at the time but damn he has been more than anyone could have expected. Props to him to develop a pretty elite low post game.
Post ups in OKC last year???? Lol riiight I saw he had that game in Chicago but he has been so good this year. Honestly I think a little piece of it is guys just don't see post ups as much as you used to. Still him eventually betting Zingis a couple times tonight was impressive.

In 670 minutes Beas has taken 34 threes. In 824 minutes Crawford has taken 154. I'd guess Beas is being pretty selective in taking 3's while Crawford good and bad takes a bunch of tough ones. Beas took 43 3's the entire season last year. I do agree with your premise that some guys would actually shoot better 3 point percentages if they actually jacked them up more. I said that years ago referring to Telfair. It turns out I was ahead of my time asking guys to shoot 3's right? What do I win!?!?!? :) jk
Re: Knicks@Wolves - GDT
On Wiggins FTs befor ethose 2 misses he was shooting over 70% in January. I'd guess it's mostly mental. He isn't a pure shooter or anything but there is no way he is gonna suck like this forever. I'm more interested in all the other god stuff he is doing and i'm Fine with him taking those 3's even if he doesn't make them. Also he is gonna start making those bunnies too. I don't get why he doesn't dunk more that is kinda weird. Wiggins is a bit weird though. Maybe Butler can convince him to dunk more. Lol

I'm not a big fan of Crawford's game. He has the team's worst net rating (of the regular rotation players), is relatively inefficient offensively, and can't defend anyone. BUT....he does seem like a good locker room vet and he will bail the team out of a hole with his shooting on occasion.
The bottom line is we're winning and he seems to be a trusted leader. Perhaps that has an impact beyond what he does in the box score.
