kekgeek bring up marvin williams. I think that is worth considering as he would be an upgrade over belly as the stretch 4 off the bench and also give us sf minutes like belly is giving us now.

Here is the thing though. Does Aldrich and bazz get it done. It would be a straight cap cut for the Hornets.

Also how much does Williams move the needle (I think he helps but no closer to a championship) and is that needle moving worth 2 more years after this of an aging Marvin Williams who makes good money.

All questions that need to be answered. To be honest I would not do a trade. Maybe Aldrich for Clarkson (so the Lakers can get cap to go after all stars) because Clarkson is young

You would need to add another contract like Bazz or Brooks to get that deal done which obviously isn't a big deal. I like Clarkson but the stats make me hesitate. Maybe he would be better especially shooting 3's on a better team. Do you want to pay that guy 26 million the next 2 years after this year? That's a lot of money for a bench guy. This is an example of why you are hesitating to make a trade right?

Exactly. Nobody is going to move the needle to move us in the championship contender relm. And cole only has value to teams for cap relief. So we would have to acquire a multi-year deal. In the end not worth it.

Bring back the core 9 players with Patton and MGH. Use the MLE and our 1st and have internal development and hopefully we can reach where we want to go

Yeah I mean I think an aldrich for Dudley makes sense but it's not a huge move. Still Dudley makes a pretty decent chunk of money for next year.

I'm more interested to see what the Wolves do with that last 2 way contract and only a couple more days to sign someone. Someone worthwhile (relatively speaking) is gonna want to sign one of those deals. I'd like to see them sign Amile Jefferson but there are probably other guys worth considering.

How about a simple Affalo for Shabazz swap. Afffalo is having a bad year not getting much run but is a pretty good 3pt shooter for his career, and it would give Orlando a free look at a young player that needs a change of scenery.

There are rumors that Larry Nance Jr is on the market. I think he'd be a good pickup as an athletic 4 who can play against small ball. I wonder if they would swap Nance for Bazz to clear cap in the offseason. That would free us up to potentially trade Dieng this summer for a real 6th man.

Sure. I'll say though both guys have basically been terrible. The best part of that deal for the Wolves is Afflalo doesnt have an option for next year like Bazz,

Uh, yes please on the Larry Nance Jr front. Would love a guy like that. I wish he could shoot, but his defense is really good and he will do a lot of dirty work....seems to get better every year too.

Nance only makes 2.3 million next year. Remember Bazz has player option for next year so it would likely have to be Brooks instead. I'd guess that the Lakers would want some sort of asset for Nance as he likely has positive trade value. Remember you have to pay someone a few hundred thousand for 13 roster spots. Maybe he is a sweetener to take on Clarkson or something. Just for fun I will mention CARMELO projections loved Nance going into this season. He is 18th in RPM for PFs. If they are basically giving him way from nothing yes I'll take him and I would say that regardless of the advanced stats.
