Thanks Q. I'm guessing we'll look to move Teague sometime next year.

IMO the problem with this team is that it looks ugly when it doesn't do what it SHOULD be good at which is attacking and getting matchups. When they do that it creates chances for guys to score but also puts teams into rotations and that often creates the ball movement that we crave. The offense gets frustrating when a guy just goes at someone with a neutral matchup at best or Wiggins taking a step inside the 3 point line long 2 etc. guys need to move the ball and attack with more purpose. They were doing that pretty well before some injuries including Teague and Butler. It hasn't been quite as good since and that does make sense.

Gotta get some easy baskets. We just don't get enough of them.

May be he sees part of his role as passing the torch to Tyus (?), I know that sounds idealistic given the egos of these players, but his actions seem to indicate a genuine unselfishness in that regard. But ugh....not sure how he walks away from that big player option, as that really constrains us along with the other guys we already have signed that year and beyond (e.g. Dieng).

It would be really nice if this club could actually DEVELOP an elite 3-point shooter for once. Never seems to happen with us.

Yes, it would be great to develop our own elite 3-point shooter. I just don't see anyone on our current NBA or G-League roster who has any chance of becoming that guy except maybe Anthony Brown or maybe even Tyus Jones.

Speaking of Tyus, I wish Teague didn't have the option for what would be the first season of Tyus's next contract. Like you, I'm certain Teague will exercise his option because I don't see any other team out there who would offer him anything close to $19 million per year then at age 31. Heck, I don't see any team out there now other than the Wolves who would pay him that now at age 29.

Teague has already been replaced by a younger PG once in his career. He probably has some feel for that which could be helpful. He is getting paid a lot of money but even with the influx of PGs in the league there will probably be some team at some point that wants a guy that is legit right away to help their team because vet PGs do matter. 3 teams did that this offseason Utah, MN and Sacramento. The Cavs have been rumored to be interested in trading for George Hill. On other probably unlikely possibility is Teague declines his player option to sign a longer term deal as a top paid backup similar to what people thought Rubio might do. I doubt he would do that but it's not a crazy possibility. Even Tyus is actually ready at some point moving Teague could be a problem and a legit concern but I think it's possible it won't be super difficult. We will see. Tyus still has a ways to go to be the guy we need especially when playoffs come.

Ok this guy is an undrafted guy that's less than 2 years removed from college and the trial period is almost over? You say he isn't doing much else. This team doesn't ask him to do so much else at least offensively. He is basically option 7 (hyperbole font) on the floor in the meaningful minutes. Maybe he can't do anything else but it's not like he gets many chances. Heck Tyus has a low usage when he plays backup minutes MGH is even less. He might have more than he gets to show in pretty limited opportunities.

My concerns aren't just about scoring. I get that they never run plays for him. Go look at his rebounds, assists, steals, and blocks per 36 minutes. I mean, he literally does almost nothing out there. I thought he was a "do shit" kind of guy, but I'm not seeing it....He's an upgrade from Bazz only in that he follows the med students' oath: First, do no harm. But at some point, he has to do more than not screwing up.....

I disagree he isn't doing other things. He has a few charges drawn for one actual stat. He tends to keep balls alive and get some deflections. The other thing is generally he really guards his guy and makes that his thing. A lot of guys that play good man defense (not saying he is there but that's his role) tend to not have a bunch of rebounds. The guy has 184 mins of playing time this entire season. That's a pretty small sample. The last couple games his impact hasn't been as good. Let's see what he can do the rest of the season.

I like MGH for what he is -- a cheap, end of the bench body that when called upon can give you some minutes that won't hurt you while perhaps giving you some nice plays here and there. He knows his role and knows he's limited and doesn't go outside of those boxes. Every team should have one or two of those guys.

Hell, I'd even argue that the best one we've had in some time was fan favorite Robbie "The Gawd" Hummel. That guy was the prototype for staying in your lane, but being able to do everything that was asked of him -- including playing point guard one game! Ahh, memories...

Don't the Wolves have to unload Teague eventually with KAT and Jimmy coming up for Maxes/Supermax. Unless Taylor really wants to run into the Red, IDK if it would pay off with more revenues and of course just maybe a finals appearance eventually.

I just hope our front office doesn't have to give up other assets to unloa Teague. That's my concern. I believe Teague's talent is so out of line with his contract that he can't be "unloaded" without including other assets to entice the other team into taking him. I hope I'm wrong.

Like I posted in the Hawks GDT. We could already be at the lux tax. With just gorgui, jimmy, wiggins, towns and teague. And that dosen't include tyus extention, Belly if you want, Patton, possibly taj re-ups. Cap hell is 2 years away hope we don't trade our picks because of it. Cap hell on the horizon
