I'd rather make a play for Gasol. Now HE could help make us a contender.

Hard Pass on both as they just aren't a good fit for this club. Both very good players but old, injury plagued and cost too much. I don't want to give up anything of value other than other old guys like Gibson, Rose or Teague.

Always been a fan of conley. This only works if we take parsons in return. Teague/dieng/bayless/taj + lotto protected pick for conley/parsons?

I don't think we should be buyers. The only guys I'd be looking to move are dieng and tolliver.

I'd like to bring rose, taj, and deng back if possible.

The main reason you make a Wiggins/Conley swap that it buys you two years of max contract relief while being able to continue to field a competitive team. The Wiggins contract is a massive problem for this franchise and we need to think in terms of KAT's contract window. This gets us two years closer to having way more flexibility to rebuild around him. That being said, part of the solution is to nail a draft pick or two along the way, so I would seriously pause if it cost us an unprotected first.

Being ready to give up Conley and Gasol shows the Griz are blowing things up and starting over. Does anyone here really believe Memphis wants to make Wiggins the cornerstone of their rebuilding project?

That's probably why we'd need to ship out an additional asset, like an unprotected first, which would give me pause.

We really need some GM/coach combo that has the hubris to believe they can turn him around.

An easy yes for the grizz. They give up a breaking down pg on the wrong side of 30 for an overpaid young wing plus an unprotected pick. If wiggs stays wiggs, that's still a 20 ppg guy you can feed while u rebuild until that contract expires. If they miraculously unlock him, that's a 23 yr old cornerstone wing.

I think alot of teams take wiggs + unprotected pick if it's on the table.

True, and I just don't know if that GM is out there. I think any GM is going to notiice the same things we notice...Wig's horrible advanced stats and his general lethargy on the court (last night was a rare example). I think any GM will need a lot more than a mid first round draft pick to take Wig off our hands. That's why I think Wig will be here for the remainder of his contract. Our only hope is that Ryan (or his successor) can get more games like last night out of him (even though it was far short of what a max player should give us), and fewer games like Sunday's.

Get ready for that 4 pg lineup we've been waiting for. The dream of Flip is alive. I'd like to see a Teague centered deal if we went for Conley but if it takes wiggins so be it.

As for that PG lineup...Craig Smith still available? Lol
