Don't forget that Reeve is already a loyal member of Taylor's country club

"She knows basketball. She knows how to coach elite players. And members of the Timberwolves already know her and would play for her. Anyone who believes men would not play for a woman coach are propagating a myth."

I would think any team considering it would want them to have some NBA coaching experience too. If we get the first female NBA head coach soon, I'll be surprised if it isn't Becky Hammon.

There were some concerns expressed here and elsewhere about how Ed Pinckney might react by being passed over by a 32 year old coach. Well, we don't know, but initial observations are that there won't be any problems. Ryan seemed to court Ed last night, and likely will continue to in an effort to retain him as a valuable assistant coach. Ryan conferred with Ed often during the game, and gave him the halftime Gellner interview. More importantly, Pinckney appeared to be as joyous as anyone in the raucous Wolves locker room after the game. My sense is that Ed is satisfied with his role...maybe even more so now that he has a collaborative head coach...and that he wants to be here for awhile. Nothing to see here, I think.

Has ed ever been a lead assistant? If not, he might see that as an opportunity here as the next step.

I believe it was reported by Jon K that Ed got some head coaching interviews when he was with Thibs in Chicago. Both Jon and Souhan said Ed might be disappointed but he is the type of guy that's not gonna have any problems buying in. Remember Ed had been in MN before. He has been around basketball forever. I don't think there is gonna be a problem and like LST said he was having a hell of a good time in that locker room last night.

Apparently Robbie Hummel is in town and this tweet is an impressive instructional video. I'm going to the Husker game tonight if you want me to put in a good word for the Wolves for a coaching position...or get something autographed for Q. :)

My hero! And with that shot, he'd fit right in to our team again!

Robbie did the color commentary for the Minnesota/Maryland game Tuesday night...he was really good! Hard to believe he's only 29. i thought he was 29 after his 10 years at Purdue!

Wow, only 29 still...So he could still play, right?
