If you could pick one player from any of the 4 major sports teams and give him an elite skill ( or second if he already has one) who would it be and what Skill?

I don't follow baseball so I'll pass on them. With hockey and football one player can make a big impact no doubt, but in the end they cannot offset the weaknesses of the rest of the very large roster. In basketball one player can make a decent team good, and a good team great so for that reason I'd give Rubio or Dunn elite shooting skills. Which one you pick depends on how close you believe the rest of the team is to contending. If you believe they're close you give the skill to Rubio, if you believe they're still a couple years away you give it to Dunn. Either way I think this would give you the best return on your gift.

Rubio - I'd give him an NBA level jump without 5th grade form. I'd also give him the ability to make a layup, vital skill in the NBA. Also I'd like to give him the ability to beat NBA point guards off the dribble. Last I checked hand checking isn't allowed in today's game. Oops, that's more then 1.

I'd give Wiggins a Kyrie handle and watch him become a dominant offensive player.

Well...Dunn did say he wanted his shot to be like Klay Thompson.

What about making Lavine (or someone else) an elite defensive player?

IMO the talent is there to be a well above average defensive team with time and experience. On the other hand if you give one of the PGs elite shooting their offense becomes even more potent and difficult to stop.

It would be hilarious to see Dieng with crazy handles like that. Lol

Sure I am mostly looking at another angle and ironically a needed one. I mean can you imagine Lavine as an ELITE defensive player? That would really be something.

I'd give the Vikings offensive line the skill of blocking players from other teams.

But in all seriousness, Buxton hit nine home runs in Sept. That's a 54 HR season. That, with the ability to run all four bases in 14 seconds and catch everything between the foul poles, and children will be singing songs about him. So I'll say that.

I'd give Dieng KG-level defensive skills to go along with what he does now. Bigs have a larger impact on overall team defense than guards/wings, so that's why I'd pick him versus LaVine, etc. Need proof? Think about how much of a difference an over-the-hill KG running on fumes made to our defense last season when he was on the court. One guy did that!

You might ask why not give KAT those skills? The reason is that he is already going to be an elite offensive force. Put an elite defensive force (who also isn't a liability offensively) next to him and it makes for a great pairing. It also spreads the injury risk out over two players.....
