I'm confident he soured on their ability, or rather inability, to make shots. Call it even.

PS: Golden State's doing their best to sell this trade to their fans. From what I've seen, most are not happy that they received Andrew Wiggins for D'Angelo Russell. Maybe sneaking these tidbits out about Russell will help ease their pain.

While I wouldn't discount any claims of immaturity or unwillingness to play defense... leaking PR-intended reports after a player is traded to justify a trade is a well-worn NBA tactic.

Between this and the "monitoring Towns" situation leaked to Ethan Strauss... Golden State takes pride in being PR warriors.

I really hope Taylor doesn't jump on this and start talking about the outgoing Wolves players. I'm sure he wont be able to help himself though.

It depends. Are they future HOFers who didn't want to be traded in the first place...

I think the practice is classless for whoever it was directed at. Just a bad look.

Feels like you are over-rotating on this. I am reading through these threads and not seeing people thinking DLO is the savior of the franchise, yet you are reacting as if you MUST convince us that DLO isn't the franchise superstar we've all been hoping for.

If I'm over-rotating as you say, it's for one reason. And that reason is I want the membership to remember I was saying this isn't going to work from the beginning. Not after 5 games, 10 games, 50 games or 3 seasons. I want no misunderstanding what my stance was on the day of the trade.

You also told us early in the season to just be patient, the team will improve as the season goes on...just wait and see. The exact opposite happened. The entire locker room was imploding and Rosas had to do something.

Your stance here is hardly a bold one.

Since I'm the only one making it, it would seem quite bold to me. Try sticking your neck out once in a while instead of only pouncing on those with strong opinions.

It's not a bold stance or a strong opinion to claim a team that has only ever made it out of the first round once will not do it again for 8 years. That's called the norm. Making it out of the first round would be an outlier. Vegas would make you bet a million to win a dollar with your prediction. The rest of us just don't need to make a senseless proclamation that the same thing will just keep happening. You aren't sticking your neck out at all on this one. You are literally making the all time easiest prediction that the Wolves are still gonna suck. What's next for you? Water is wet? The sun is hot?

So you agree with me? If so, don't tout this as a good move for the franchise. It might help put some more fans in the seats for while. And we may win a few more games. That may be success to you but after 33 years it's not good enou
Let me ask you this. Is there any other team in the league you would definitively say the same thing about? I wouldn't. Over 8 years every team should have the expectation they will win a playoff series. It's really not that difficult. Except when you commit to proven losers as your cornerstone. So yes, when you wouldn't say the same thing about any other franchise, it's not a slam dunk to make this prediction.

I would definitively say the same about the Kings, the Suns, the Knicks, the Bobcats, the Magic and on and on. There are tons of really bad to mediocre teams that aren't gonna win a playoff series. We aren't the only team who's been swimming solely in the lottery for the last decade. You have to be a really good team to win a first round series. We aren't any worse off than a lot of other teams. You seem to think we are the only incompetent team in the league and there a lots of them to join us.

I don't know about this. Thinking back 8 years off the top of my head, If you had said that about the Bucks, Raptors, Cavaliers, Hawks, Clippers, Nuggets, and Jazz, you would have been wrong on all accounts. And these franchises had some very rough years.

Well the Bucks, Raptors, Nuggets and Jazz have all hit on draft picks not at the top of the draft so it's definitely not fair to say we are guaranteed failure while all the other teams I brought up will hit their low percentage draft picks. The Cavs lucked out that LeBron was from Ohio. LAC is in LA and the Hawks aren't even good yet so they may suck for the next 8 years as well with Tre. We all have the same chances to hit on good players taken later in the lottery/1st round so it's pretty bullshit to just single us out as not having the same opportunity to turn it around. You brought up a bunch of teams that did it in a variety of of unconventional ways and that's all it takes is hitting the right small percentage bet to become competent like many of those teams. We don't have any less of an opportunity when it comes to making the right draft picks as any one else and outside of LA your list has 0 free agent destinations on it so they all did it with smart basketball decisions that we now also have the opportunity to execute. Only for some reason you guarantee we are the only team in the league who won't do it.
