He'll spew a huge word salad from which many will take much meaning, but he will in reality have said nothing.

I could care less what he says. He's a quitter.

It's really a shame to give him such softballs and call it reporting. It really makes me yearn for a collapse of the financial structure of the NBA. The entitlement of the players, owners, and league management has gotten out of control. They all need to legitimately shut up and dribble. It's a game.

KAT signs 190 million 5 year deal. Butler offered 4 year 110. That's all it comes down to and I think everyone on this board would rather build around KAT then Butler. We can't supermax both. Butler needs to be the Alpha guy and of course in his mind getting paid less then KAT is a slap in the face I think.

Though Butler did say he wanted a trade to Thibs 4 days after the end of the season. Before any contract offers. So Thibs could have traded Butler before the draft and screwed it up, which is another reason to fire Thibs.

Maybe jimmy and his agent misunderstood how the cba worked and confused the extension amount with the new contract amount. Abd it just brewed until the end of the season.

It's not a Jimmy money thing. Anyone who understands the CBA knows veteran extensions are bullshit and promote player movement because they stand to make more in Free Agency than an extension. To me it's pretty clear he's not on board with the two highest paid players not having a commitment to winning most of the rest of the team has. He doesn't want to play with KAT and Wiggins because they just don't play the way he demands his teammates play the game and they happen to be the two guys who make more money than Jimmy. If KAT acted and played like Embiid or Porzingas I don't think any of this is a problem.

Towns will likely take more of the blame because it seems like he's being singled out by Butler more than Wiggins, but make no mistake about it, one of the two is an All-NBA player and the other is an overpaid, at-best average producer on the basketball court making superstar money. That is, without question, the bigger issue here.
