I haven't listen to it yet, but find these well done usually. It's nearly 2 hours. Sam Vecenie is pretty good.

RealGM draft lottery podcast.
Re: RealGM draft lottery podcast.
They brought up a good point, Isaac would really fit nicely in Denver, and Denver has a ton of assets to move up in the draft to grab him. I could see them trying to do this.
I'd use possibly use Rubio, and Gorgi to do the same and possibly Dunn to move up and grab him.
They talked a little bit about Gorgi's contract. They thought well signed him too early hindering our flexibility this offseason.
Imagine this, we didn't sign Gorgi and traded Rubio for Rose to essential clear Rubio's contact from the books, which I thought was reasonable btw. If that would of happened we'd have 30 mil more then would we already have. That's serious flexibly this off season.

That would be more of a Danny Ainge type move, so most people on this board wouldn't like that.

I think they make a good point about Diengs contract...however I'm not sure the Wolves will be able to spend the money they have this summer so I don't think another 9 million from Dieng just having a cap hold will end up making a difference but of course it could. I think when it's all said and done his contract will end up being just fine.
It seems like everyone thinks Jonathon Isaac makes a ton of sense here for the Wolves. I liked how they said that one of Isaac Tatum or Jackson will likely be there for the Wolves at 7.

Re: RealGM draft lottery podcast.
we have the 3rd most cap space in the league this year, seems foolish to try and angle a team friendly Gorgui contract into a bad situation
Re: RealGM draft lottery podcast.
I agree in theory it sounds great, but we might have a tough time getting guys to come. Although I think if I were to choose now, Id take the cap space and roll the dice in free agency. Same with Rubio.

Fringe starting PGs got 10 million per last offseason. I'll stick with Rubio for his salary when we don't actually have a pg option behind him. There could be options but they might not be cheaper.

Yeah, the Wolves are not going to get a starting PG at Rubio's price. Plus the hope is Dunn develops into a starting PG. And with the plethora of PGs out there and in the draft, I have hard time seeing much of a demand for Rubio. So the most logical outcome is we continue with Rubio running the show while Dunn continues his development.

How is this a team friendly contract. He is going to make close to 16 mil for 4 years.
I agree completely with Sam, regarding Gorgui. I particularly agree when asked who is going to pay him that money this year. Answer, nobody!
Why can't the wolves go after Hayward?

You're crazy if you don't think Gorgui still doesn't get that on this market if JJ reddick is commanding 18-20 million
Hayward isn't going to consider us with two teams who already made it past the first round fighting over him
