Good question, Future. I'd consider matching at that price. He's a scorer AND good rebounder at his position. He also brings toughness, which this team needs. I also believe he still has untapped upside. But of course, whether we should sign him, even at that price, depends on the availability of other FA alternatives.
I personally would match that and be pretty happy about it.

Yup, I would match that to keep Bazz around for depth and potential. But I would hope he is not part of my starting rotation if everyone is healthy!
If Bazz leaves and finds his 3-point shot on his next team I will be royally pissed off (but not surprised). He along with Bjelly are a consistent 3-point shot away from being very valuable bench players.

Bazz did shoot over 30 percent on non corner 3's which was a big improvement over last year's 16% . Overall he had his most efficient season of his career and looking at his shot chart you can see why. HE took more shots at or near the rim and more 3's. Plus he nearly eliminated those annoying step inside the 3 point line long 2's.

The problem is for 2 months Bazz shot 48% from 3. But the other 5 months he shot 22% from 3. He can't be that inconsistent
I know the "what ifs" with Bazz, but after 4 years of him, I'm ready to move on. He's just an odd puzzle piece and we are better off without him. I hope at least two teams are interested in him (and we can bluff them into thinking we'd match any offer) so we could do a sign and trade and at least get a second rounder back for him.
Bazz seems like one of those guys who will become a really good rotation player with some NBA team in the next couple years. He's a natural scorer who can score in multiple ways and he has shown enough flashes from behind the arc to indicate he can become a very good three-point shooter. Put that together with his highly competitive nature and you have someone I'd like to keep around here for the right price.
Bazz has 4 years of terrible plus/minus stats. I've watched so many games where leads evaporate when Bazz comes in. I will be disappointed if Thibs can't find someone better to take up his roster spot. Four years and virtually no improvement are enough evidence to convince me that we'd be better off grabbing a good undrafted free agent or D-League phenom and try to develop them instead. Unfortunately, tunnel vision isn't something likely to be fixed.
His decision to opt out was borderline-AK foolish. Call his agent, give him a FIRM LOW number and a deadline. If he gets a stupid offer and you lose him, such is life. But if he's healthy and you get him, you get 12 minutes of GOOD S/F play. Then you can avoid a bidding war with Bazz and AW can play more SG.
A bidding war for Bazz? Please, stop.
Somebody is going to make an offer to Bazz. If a second team does, be it MIN or someone else, you now have a bidding war, unless one drops out, at which point you simply have a player signing with a team. Sorry about your unfortunate Ricky/Dragic comment, but following me all over cyperspace and nitpicking my posts won't fix it.
Get over yourself. And yes, the thought of a bidding war for Bazz is just plain ridiculous.
DEFINITION of 'Bidding War'
A situation where two or more buyers are so interested in an item (such as a house or a business) that they make increasingly higher offers of the price they are willing to pay to try to become the new owner of the item.
Get over myself? You're the one arguing with definitions. But I'm sure BlondeRickey appreciates it.
