We'd have a Wolves team to get really excited about heading into next season.
it's not gonna happen because the Clippers remember what it's like to be us. They're never gonna be contenders at this point, but I don't see them detonating their team right now for fear of becoming what they used to be.
They might not have a choice with, paul, griffin and reddick all free agents

I think they may let Redick go, but I can definitely see them wanting to bring CP3 and Griffin back and I think they both wanna come back (the money would be great too).
To go from where they are now to letting Paul, Griffin, Redick, trading Jordan (in this scenario), firing their coach AND GM and waving the white flag for a long time with nothing to move forward with entering next season is a tough, tough pill to swallow and a pill Ballmer wouldn't be willing to swallow.

The point is that they are at a serious crossroads and they don't get to decide the players will. Luc and Speights also have player options too and...the Clippers have zero draft picks this year. If the Clippers bring back a lot of these guys they are highly likely to go in to serious Lux tax and it's gonna be hell as they will be a repeater so the penalty is even more. Other owners would be excited to get a piece of that pie. Lol Ballmer may not care at all though. Honestly I don't how it will play out. There are a lot of ways for it to go.

I'm not saying they won't totally blow it up but in my opinion they can't just run it back again. 6th year with this core and nothing farther than the 2nd round. Jordan could actually get them some pieces back in a trade. (I mean you want to blow up the wolves core after 2 years can you imagine 6)
I'd only agree to trade for DJ if CP3 follows him in free agency. You guys have to remember that DJ is playing with one of the best PnR guards in the league. How's lob city gonna work with the defenders playing the passing lanes with Ricky? I want a better PG or a mobile 4 if we are gonna trade our pick. I don't think Towns is cut out to be on the perimeter all game on both sides of the ball. Getting DJ would be playing 3 on 5 offensively. Plus you're adding hack-a-Shaq into the fold when games start to count.

My counter to that is ricky made pek 14 mil a year running PnR and spacing didn't kill the team with love (towns), AK47 (wiggins), Kmart (lavine). We were still really good offensively and I believe DJ would fix a lot of the holes the wolves have in defense.
With the hack a jordan I see your point but it is not like dieng is a slouch and we can't go to him if DJ keeps missing free throws but I do see your point (also silver keeps talking about hack-a is bad for the game)
I am with you though that their is nobody on the wolves that is good enough besides towns (but can play PF) where we should not look to improve that position (I agree with you on fultz).
I just don't see us going after Redick when we already have redundancy between Wiggins and LaVine at SG, not to mention it might end up being Dunn's best position as well.

Getting out from under Donald Sterling's caustic clutches is a very good thing for the organization.
When any of us want to complain about ownership in any sport... think of how much worse the Clippers fandom had it for 35 years.
We keep talking about what additions will make the team better. I will say this again. We will suck as long as Wiggins and KAT are our two highest usage players, yet don't sacrifice some of their points to create shots for other players. Because no matter who we bring in, if those two don't help their teammates find ways to score, then we will be scratching our heads once again wondering why players we bring in don't perform the way we thought they would.
It's all on Wiggins and KAT. They HAVE to figure out how to make players better.

Tim, Don't disagree with you here, but the bigger issue is that they are one-way players right now. Until they take their defense as seriously as their scoring, we're going nowhere.
As for the passing, I think KAT actually has the skill and feel to do better, but truly sometimes gets tunnel vision and freezes out team mates. This is the "hero ball" syndrome. Wiggins on the other hand simply doesn't have the feel or skill for it yet, so it's less of a selfish trait and more of a skill gap. He's just got poor floor vision and passing skills.
