It's time for Big KAT and Big Mouthed Thibs to eat some Philly Embiid steak and wash a bit of the stink off a 3-7 start.

I will be attending my first game of the season and look forward to the free Cherry Berry the following day.

Prediction: we take a double digit lead into half, slowly lose said lead and eventually trail in the 4th quarter by as much as five. Meanwhile all the energy gets sucked out of Target Center as diehard fans such as myself witness a season swirling down the toilet, yet THIS TIME our heroes come through in the end, led by a clutch closing performance by Zach Lavine hitting several big shots, and we win by two. 4-7, book it, we're comin'.

Ha, nice opening to the thread there Mstermisty.

These are the games I just dread. It's almost impossible to believe that we have won only one more game than Philly, yet here we are.....sigh.

Wolves win this handily.

Philly is pretty terrible. And the 2014 Wolves... errrr... ummm.... I mean 2016 Wolves are known to blow out teams now and again.

But I'm really looking forward to seeing Joel Embiid play. The 76ers are feeding him the ball at a crazy rate. His usage rating is just a tad behind Russell Westbrook AS A "ROOKIE" center. That's insane.

It was 40%+ last I saw. Whether it's a basket, trip to the line... or TO... he's getting the ball. Should be fun for that alone.

[Note: KAT's hero ball thing/problem/challenge is gonna be tested in this matchup.]

If Embiid stays healthy, he will be a dominant force in the NBA some day. Physically he is too overwhelming for most of his opponents.

However, he is still in the formative stages of his development. He's averaging 7.7 TOs and 5.8 Fouls per 36 minutes! He's also averaging 29 points, 12 rebounds, and 4 blocks per 36 minutes! He's the ultimate "do shit" player because he does literally everything - the good and the bad!

I'm just glad he's playing in the East!

I'm curious to see physically how he looks next to Towns. He is a year ahead in physical development but the guy if healthy is a deal specimen. I just looked up Embiid's stats. Good gravy they were better than I was expecting. I know he is fouling and turning the ball over a bunch too and they are giving him a ton of touches but O.M.G.

Remember, he didn't even start playing basketball until 2010 or 2011.

That's insane.

Yeah and he didn't play basketball for 2 years after being drafted because of injury. Sure he was working with a profession basketball team during those 2 years but...yeah.

Damn it.

I've been playing basketball religiously for a very long time. After thinking about Embiid... I can't help but think I should have used that time for a more fruitful pursuit.

Obviously, I should have learned my place in basketball by now.

You can't teach 7'1 with a 7'6 wingspan. Embiid is a monster.

I'm looking forward to seeing this kid play...my first time watching him.

Anybody think 12 points is way too many for the Wolves to be giving? This Philly team has some talent, and we haven't shown any consistency yet.
