Not just you, he looks like a net positive so far this season. He'll probably sign a $10M a year contract next season! LOL
Is he a max player too? I was rubbing my eyes just to make sure that last dunk.
I don't know....he was still a little out of control at times too. One of his baskets was totally lucky. I think he got four fouls in 15 minutes of play. Then he threw Embiid to the ground and drew a technical. He did block a few shots I guess.
He may also be a "Thibs guy" in that he plays with energy and edge. The problem is he is just as likely to hurt one of his own team mates!

Yeah don't get me wrong I was judging by Payne standards. But he has made strides. Eventually I think there are positive contributions he can make. He played some solid D on a few possessions.

He was less in control tonight but he still was better than usual Payne train.
Again I was watching from a different angle but it seemed like he was playing more tough than usual pushing Embiiid around more than getting housed like we are used to. What did others see?

Yeah, I don't get it. And then he sat KAT, but left Wiggins in until there was barely over a minute left. That was dumb.
I think he wanted to make sure they won the game and finished it pretty strong. At one point they were only up like 22 or something. 10 games from now they probably can empty the bench earlier but I don't think they can do that right now.

IDK....tough to take much away from this game. The Sixers are really bad. In fact, it's almost embarrassing that with our roster we have only won one more game than the Sixers coming into tonight. Really!?
Perhaps Payne will turn a corner this year, but it seems pretty inconsequential to our future. He's a UFA after this season, no?

I get that, but when we're up 20+ with less than 5 minutes, it's time to take them out. The Sixers weren't going to make that gap up.
This is the first extended action I have seen of Saric. I like him he seems tougher than I was expecting. He is pretty skilled too. He could be a bigger better version of Illyasova and if he stays healthy that's a pretty good player.
