Would be a helpful addition.

But he'd probably cost about 4 yr/$120M+, right?

Good find. They will figure it out we just need to reset expectations here. We are on course.

It really is a pretty shot. And he's already surpassed what I thought he could be as a player.

Now... about that defense...

I'm certainly. It suggesting his defense is there yet but remember how lost he was as a rookie? He has made strides every year to get better and that's what I am concerned with. Also how often have you seen him just get bullied around this year? It's not very often. He seems to have held up alright even if he gets switched to a much bigger player. They still score on him but it's not like he gets thrown into the 5th row first.

Anywhere from 4/80 to 4/100 sounds about right. Doubt he gets more than that even with some teams willing to spend. Tough to gauge at the moment. And yes, I'd be in on him for that price.

I'm not suggesting they have the same value (mostly mention this because they were traded for each other and Ersan is playing well for Philly) but I'll be curious what contracts Ibaka and Illyasova get this summer.

3/45 for Ilyasova to stay in PHI wouldn't surprise me.

Ibaka's going to get paid because of how difficult it is to find bigs that protect the rim AND shoot well from three. He's averaging something close to 15/7/2 this year with great percentages in under 31 MPG. Slide that in next to Towns and it's like peanut butter and jelly.

Unless the market has already changed significantly from last offseason (it probably will be tempered some), I don't see how Ibaka settles for less $20M per year. Although my $120M number might not even be possible. I don't know.

I just see him being offered the max.

Anyone ever figure out what we can spend this offseason and keep the trio on max deals?

I agree with the first part of your post. I don't see Ibaka taking less than $20M per, especially considering what Bismack Biyombo ($18M per) and Timofey Mosgov ($16M per) got last summer. You could also throw in Tristan Thompson's $16.5M per as a comparison. He's vastly superior than them in my view and the market should be stronger for him.

I don't believe he can get a max contract, though. I don't think he's a comparable commodity to the likes of Al Horford or obviously Kevin Durant. Paul Millsap should join them as a max contract this off-season. Even the best agent only has so much bargaining power. Ibaka is a tier (or two depending on how you rank players) behind them.

Didn't guys like Chandler Parsons get max deals though? That's what I was using as a comparison.

He did, but it was "only" 4/94 with the cap spiking up. And Parsons, when healthy, is a pretty good player at a relatively thin position.
