I can't believe you went there today. Well, actually I can. You do it after every game. But you picked out the one bad play he had while handling the ball and had to make an issue of it. I wish all of our players could be so perfect that one mistake is worth mentioning.
Goodness gracious this is tired.
I've never seen any poster before so defensive about a single player. That one play illustrated Andrew's poor ball-handling. But note that I didn't blame Wiggins at all for that play, instead putting the onus on Thibs for continuing to put a square peg in a round hole. Having him bring the ball up full court at that point in the game seemed like a bad idea at the time and the result was fairly predictable. I had nothing else bad to say about Wiggins and clearly didn't blame him at all for the loss as you might have noted in the game thread. So you really need to relax. Try Valium.
Lip, you play that card after every game. It's clear you have an agenda that you go back to time after time. Andrew handled the ball very well today. I'm not sure what's worse, my defending him or you constantly poking the same hole in his game. Just give it a rest. Stop listening to the morons in your section at games.
An agenda? Play that card? Wow. I have both praised and criticized Wiggins this season. I have criticized him more than any other player because of his lapses in effort relative to his tremendous talent. But my criticism regarding his ball-handling has been consistently directed lately to Thibs for using Andrew in a way that exposes his ball-handling -- something bad for both Wiggins and the team in my view. As for today's game, I thought it was weird that Thibs would have Wiggins bring the ball up full court with an unsurprisingly bad result. I'll keep complaining about Thibs in that regard as long as he keeps doing it. But I certainly didn't blame Wiggins for the loss. Overall, I'm warming up to Thibs and I'm still hopeful about Wiggins. I'm sorry you seem to take mention of any Wiggins flaws so personally.
Lip you completely ignored the point Cool brought up where you criticize Wiggins for 1 mistake in the game and that mistake happens to fit your narrative. Wiggins was almost perfect handling the ball that game and yet you take one mistake to keep running your narrative that he shouldn't be doing it when Cool's posts in the game thread showed it was a very effective play for the game as a whole and probably should have been used more. The answer is not to stop giving him these opportunities because they aren't a consistent strength of his at 21. What if you told Towns to stop shooting 3's because he sucks at them right now? That's not the solution. The solution is to keep giving these guys reps so they can get better. Wiggins is already night and day better as a ball handler from his rookie year. He couldn't run a PnR to save his life when he was 19. Dribbling off his foot is occasionally going to happen. It's not a good enough reason to cut him off all together when he has shown to be capable in that area and just needs to become much more consistent. Criticizing a 21 year old for 1 mistake in a game because it fits what you've been preaching when the rest of the game directly opposes your point is the problem with your argument this time. You just chose a poor time to go after his ball handling again because he was very good that game. That's what Cool was pointing out that seemed to go right over your head.

Never mind. I give up. I'd like to see Thibs limit KAT's threes and Wiggins running the offense based on what they do well and not so well as evidenced over the course of the season.
In any event, this Board has become too divisive and posts to personal and combative for my taste. I'll still read posts from time to time to see what guys like Q, LST, Cam and Monster are saying, but this is my last post. Just not fun anymore.

You're overreacting Lip. This is mild compared to some of the arguments that have transpired here in the past. No one wants you to stop posting, especially me. But I DO think it's fair to complain about the monotony in your Wiggins posts regarding his initiating the offense. You might even be right, but you've relentlessly belabored the point to where I was forced to say something for the sake of balance.
You and I have gotten along great on this board for 10 years. Don't forget that.

What's even more impressive is of those 10 years you two have gotten along great for, the team you have discussed has sucked donkey balls the entire time! If this team ever actually starts winning you two can embark on an even greater bromance!

Yeah, we might have to renew our vows in an island ceremony.
I'll make this my last post just to clarify that my decision isn't about Cool. I think I've just grown weary of the general level of negativity and combativeness - particularly how personal so many posters have become in their responses to one another.
I started this thread with positive comments about all our young players, including specifically Wiggins. I later added a comment criticizing Thibs for having Wiggins bring the ball up full court which doesn't seem to be a good use of his talent given what many have observed as his poor ball-handling skills. I think I've been more balanced in my criticism of Wiggins than the relentless criticisms of Rubio. But that's my perspective while others might see it differently. Then there's the thread in which posters are essentially calling KAT a phony. It's everyone's right to make any points they want on this Board about any player and I'm not going to jump to KAT's or Rubio's defense even if repeatedly criticized in ways I deem unfair. It's also perfectly fair for Cool to jump to Andrew's defense against -- that's his prerogative, although it gets too personal for my taste when instead of simply responding to merits of the post the defender takes personal aim at the person whose post they're responding to.
But all that's just clutter. I've been closing in on this decision well before this last exchange with Cool. Bottom line -- this Board just isn't a fun place to be anymore.

It's interesting, I've had similar thoughts but for different reasons. I think a lot of the threads get too technical. We seem to deal more in bare facts and figures, and not an exchange of opinions. I miss that.
