I watched the end of that game. Rubio struggled in crunchtime, but they managed the tie. Rubio had a terrific OT, though. I love seeing him do well, and he had an excellent game, despite the crunchtime struggles.

Must be a career high for Ricky. Utah Jazz are quietly 5 - 0 at Salt Lake City. I really thought they would struggle offensively this year, but they've managed to find a way to grind out wins. Big ups to them, especially after losing G Haywood.

"Rubio, who finished with a season-high 30 points, buried a 3-pointer from the top of the arc with 30.9 seconds left in overtime to give the Jazz a seven-point lead and put the game away." - ESPN

Looked up Rubio's stats today. He is killing it. A couple of things working for him are being on a team that wanted him and playing for a coach that connects with him. Not coming off another injury or dealing with the loss of a coach or parent. Glad to see his is balling like he showed last year after the all-star break. I didn't ever expect him to lead a winning team in scoring this deep into a season, but hats off to him.

Crazy times:

KAT scores 2 points... on the same night Rubio scores 30 points. And has only 1 assist.

WTF???

Well this discussion should be over. Walker averaged almost 30 against Ricky. Teague completely shut him down and had an almost perfect offensive game. Meanwhile Rubio has no business even being on the court against Houston, which is why Snyder gave so many of his minutes to Mitchell.

Mmmm, you seem to say that every time Teague has a great game and Rubio doesn't, as if the opposite scenario never happens.

Teague has always had Walker's number for some reason. But it isn't just Teague. It takes a village to guard an elite PG because the bigs are so critical in how they cover PnR.

Teague is clearly the better man defender which is so much more important as there as a multitude of great scoring PGs in the league. We were constantly at the bottom of the league in opponent scoring from the point during Ricky's tenure. I know his cheerleaders kept saying it wasn't his fault, but it's no wonder that a player who you could write in for 30 against Rubio got shut down by a better man defender. It is easy to predict a losing matchup with Ricky, a better's dream. Athletic, scoring points feasted on him. I'm glad we finally stopped the bleeding.
