Wolves Free Agent Predictions
Wolves Free Agent Predictions
So we've traded for Butler, unloaded Rubio for a draft pick and make Teague our first major free agent signing this summer. So here's the pending question. Which of the following do you predict the Wolves will sign in the next 10 days (Note, you can vote for more than one, but please limit your selections based on your understanding of the Wolves available cap space without trading away any current contracts):

Udoh, Tolliver and a write in vote for Ty Lawson

I can't believe I am the only one who picked Milsap so far! It sure sounds like it is going down. Thibs may have been conservative last year, but he is clearly going for it this year.

Hey Doug (Dougie Jones?), where are you hearing the Millsap rumors? I just saw the one tweet saying he was meeting with them, but I didn't really know the source.
Re: Wolves Free Agent Predictions
Well, the only solid thing we have seen is the Wolves are meeting Milsap in Atlanta today.
So the rest is simply doing the math...
- Milsap is interested enough to agree to meet with the Wolves.
- The Wolves must be confident they can create the necessary cap space.
- Milsap and Teague had a good run with Atlanta.
- Jimmy Butler has changed the perception of the Wolves to near contender status.
- The fit looks to be ideal, with the Wolves having just one questionable starting position - PF.
So, yeah, I may have jumped the gun, but everything seems to point to a perfect match.

IF we could load up the rest of the roster with good three point shooters, I'd feel a lot more comfortable. The thing is, there are a ton of guys out there, so I have to imagine there will be guys available for cheap even after we sign Millsap (assuming we sign him), and especially with that lineup, we'll have ring-chasing vets calling us up for sure.

I think it will depend on: How much money Millsap is wanting to take and how much the he Wolves are willing to pay AND how long of a contract each side would agree to. The Wolves suddenly have some decent leverage here. They have a spot for him to play and this team could absolutely be a contender. We will see.

Write in vote for Udoh also. Also, a trade of our OKC pick from the Rubio trade and Aldrich for Aminu, Harkless and Second rounder. See if that flies! Saves them 10 mil and get them one full year less on both Aminu and Harkless

A great trade for the Wolves! I can't imagine the Blazers doing that deal, but I'd certainly make the call.

Welp, scratch Redick. One year deal with Philly for 23 mil...
