Free Agent Point Guard - who do you want us to sign

Post by KiwiMatt »

With Rubio being traded to the Jazz who would you like to see Thibs and Layden pursue in free agency?

Lowry>Hill>Holiday>Teague

But i'd be happy with any of them for the right price and flexibility with other potential FAs.

I wonder what it'd cost to pick up Rubio?

Made a thread about wanting Lowry a couple months ago, I still think that's the best move. I like the attitude him and Butler can bring to this team.

Regardless of salary

Lowry

Tied for 2nd hill and Jrue

Teague

Collison

I doubt we get any more desperate than that.

I think it's possible that Teague ends up being a nice bang for the buck if he ends up at around 16 million as opposed to the other guys that are likely to get 20 million or more. Not sure what will happen with Hill though.

I don't think there's any debate about who we want. If we aren't pursuing Kyle Lowry, and feel like we stand a chance, then there was no reason to dump Rubio.

One thing that hasn't been mentioned about Teague is he has a lot of playoff experience (66 games). Did he play well? Eh maybe not but here he would be a complimentary guy so that might be good if he can fill that role.

I think this move says something about how Rubio is viewed by his peers. As soon as Bulter got here he was talking openly about replacing Rubio. That says something me.

he'd have a lot more if he didn't get eliminated by Lebron like 4-5 years in a row now lol, he even switched teams and couldn't get away. Maybe he takes a team friendly if only to stop the nightmares?
