Rank our Big Three...best to "worst"

Post by longstrangetrip [enjin:6600564] »

I think our Big 3 is now the best in the West, except for GS of course. Let me know if you think otherwise. The really exciting thing is that our 3rd best player is now either a #1 draft pick or a 2-way superstar. 3 legit stars is how you win championships, and that's what we now have. I'm wondering how the board ranks our Big 3. Vote away...

I have to say it is pretty nice having us count on Wiggins being our third best player in the future instead of second! Anyways I have Butler ahead of towns right now but I expect towns in the end to be the best of them all

I get the poll and its interesting and I think outside of Golden State, we have as good of top 3 as any moving forward. But if you based on past performance, then our Big 3 is not even top 4. Cavs, Clippers, Spurs would also rank ahead. Boston, Toronto, Washington, Milwaukee, NO, Utah also have some nice cores in place (assuming in some cases they retain their free agents). Philly has a nice "potential" core.

Butler, KAT and ? I'd agree its Wiggins next based on potential or expected production or scoring. But if based on last year's stats, Wiggins is no slam dunk. Gorgui and Ricky both had much better RPM and "do-shit" stats. Hopefully, Wiggins defends better and finally gets a positive RPM and lives up to the potential that we all hope can achieve.

He said 2nd best in the West. Spurs I disagree, Butler and Kawaii are almost a wash, Towns is better than Aldrige, and who is the Spurs third best player anyway? Clippers have an argument for sure though I think I would put them slightly ahead for now

Gasol...yeah I forget about him every time too. How good is he? Idk but he is still a pretty good player.

Like most here, I see our top three right now as Butler, KAT and Wiggins in that order. Butler is our best defender, while KAT is our best scorer and rebounder. Wiggins is our 2nd best scorer who doesn't do much else, but who still has great defensive potential. If we become a championship contender, then KAT will be our best with Butler 2nd and Wiggins a very close 3rd. For that to happen, KAT and Wiggins will have to get a lot better defensively. Given their age and overall talen along with the presence of Thibs and Butler, I fully expect both KAT and Wiggins to become good, possibly very good defenders.

Easy call - Butler, KAT, and Wiggins (and I would argue that Rubio was ahead of Wiggins in the second half of last season, but we'll forget about that for now).

Ideally it would be KAT first, but he doesn't defend well yet. If he ever does that at a plus level then the question every year will be whether he wins the MVP or not.
