Dedmond would be great to help shore up some rim protection for parts of the game. He'd be a great backup big.

I'd say we have a couple too many bigs already. How about a legit back wing? We start two 7 ft guys already. It's concerning shot blocking and rim protection is a concern with that lineup. Hence my desire to ship G outta here.

We have KAT, G, an injured Belly, Cole and a G League rookie. Our frontcourt is super thin right now and we know Towns and G don't work together defensively for long stretches of the game. I think there will be plenty of wings left over at the end of the day to sign. A guy like Gerald Henderson just got cut and could sign for a vet minimum. Same with Dunleavy. And we still have Bazz if we need to. We need defense and rebounding in the frontcourt as well as a wing.

Yes please.

We need to space the floor so bad. It'll help Teague, Butler, and especially Wiggins.

You might be right about the eventual availability of some decent wings like Gerald Henderson for the vet minimum. But Dunleavy shouldn't be considered a meaningful addition to our bench. He's 37 years old. Maybe he can still spot up and shoot the three, but that is absolutely all he can do and that's not enough for significant minutes off the bench.

I think we need a 3-point shooting wing and a rim protector or stretch 4. Using an extra $5 million in cap space to supposedly upgrade from Ricky to Teague significantly limits our abilty to fill gaping holes on our roster.

Tony Snell reportedly re-signed with the Bucks for 4 years, $11 million guaranteed per year. As we knew before today, that takes their payroll right up to the luxury tax threshold. Why in the world didn't we pursue Snell aggressively? I would think we could have gotten him for no more than $12/$13 million. He's a 26 year old, athletic wing with an excellent 3-point shot.

RFA is a different animal. For one thing both the player and the team have some incentive to get something done. The Bucks traded for Snell and he had a career year there. Would Snell have wanted to test the market to get an extra million or so a year? He got a fair contract for multiple years. It was a good deal for both sides. Another team may have had to offer more like 15 million to get him away. Also something to remember the matching team can adjust the way the contract is structured now.
