At least we will probably get it. And that OKC team is one injury away from being below average.

Sounds like Redick will cost big bucks. I don't think he will be a target for us.

CJ Miles and Taj Gibson with the rest of the money. Room exception for Dunleavy. And then wait to see who loses out on the musical chairs and can be signed for vet minimum contracts to fill out the roster.

Dunleavy? Why on Gods green earth would Thibs want him?

Shooting. I think he can still play.

Maybe 5 years ago. Who is he going to guard?

I believe he has been playing some stretch 4 for a while. I'd imagine he can still guard some bench wings. I'm biased I've always liked his game.

It's nice to likely get a pick in 2018 when we are likely giving up ours.

I just read part of Pritchard's rationale behind trading PG to the west verses Cleveland or Boston was he didn't want to complete against PG in the east. Does he know he's 95% to sign with the Lakers, if he took lesser value because of this he show be fired before he starts his 2nd month in the job.

Tell me why free agents don't go sign in the weak east. Are they stupid?

Danny Ainge had the assets to get Butler or George and still have a ton left over and failed. I think he's a good GM, but he has played his hand poorly in a very winnable eastern conference.

On the brightside we actually should see that pick now, even if it is #14-28...

I disagree 100%. He is actually the intelligent one. You bypass the arms race, trading potential big contracts for assets (even minimal) at the deadline and create your dynasty for 2020+. I have little doubt most of these buy in now teams (including us) kick themselves for buying a competitive nature that isn't truly feasible in the GSW and LeBron run league. We are stupid.

Disagree 100%. LeBron is beatable especially if you add a Butler or PG13 to that team to guard him. LeBron wasn't making the finals every year when teams like the Celtics actually challenged him in the playoffs during the big 3 era. They're in significant cap problems next summer when guys like Bradley, IT and Smart will need new deals. The West is going to be a gauntlet and whoever gets out is going to be battered and bruised. Their two best assets for this 2020 run play the same position. They're in the worst of both worlds when it comes to winning a title. Not a contender and still need to hit on multiple young assets to be a contender down the road. When you have the chance to add top 15 players you do it. It's almost universally been better for the teams who get the top 15 guy than the one's who get the platter.

I remember when Pritchard was considered a genius by Wolves fans on the ESPN board.

Khans, you can't argue with the future!

Seriously, that name might be the best fit for your philosophy, future, which always seems to be about developing the young guys, acquiring future assets, etc.

But I agree with Khans, at some point, you have to stop hoping for the future and start winning in the present, and that time is now for the Celtics.
