I'm too far removed to get inside the head of any Wolves player. And in the end it's about performance. Wiggins is an impressive scorer at age 22 with an improving 3-point shot. That's the good news. The bad news is he doesn't do anything else of significance -- putting up mediocre to poor rebounding, assist, steal and block numbers. Other defensive metrics paint an equally disappointing picture of Wiggins production other than scoring. But if Ricky Rubio can substantially improve his shot at age 26, then I'm willing to contemplate the possibility that Wiggins can continue to improve his 3-point shooting and even improve in some of these other "do-shit" areas at age 22. I don't know how driven he is. But we will all eventually find out in a few years by looking at his performance. He definitely has the physical talent of a NBA star. Given that talent, if he has the drive of a star he'll produce like one and that will mean more than producing 20 or even 25 points per game. Time will tell. I'm not willing to write him off at this point.

If he was he could certainly grab more rebounds - the type that he defers to Towns and G routinely. What he was is the #16 scorer in the league last year. And at the age of 22 I'll gladly take it and hope he improves all facets of his game moving forward.

That's an awesome response.

So Wiggins' paltry rebounding numbers are actually a good thing!

The gymnastics we perform here to support our takes can be marvelous sometimes...

While I appreciate your opinion of me... I don't know if I fully agree.

My favorite part of this place is when we don't take things or opinions too seriously... and can laugh at ourselves.
