Not a good look for Jimmy Butler.
Whether he really needed the rest... was sick... hungover... or just plain lazy... Butler not playing in the ASG is getting some flak. Justifiably so in my opinion.

a complete non-starter from my point of view. It is no different than being a game time decision, and I like that he was thinking of the wolves first.

1. It's not a normal game. Obviously. Lamarcus Aldridge played a whopping 4 minutes and didn't exert THAT much energy to compromise the rest of the season.
2. You bought his excuse? If so... why not give up his spot to somebody who actually wanted to play?
Re: Not a good look for Jimmy Butler.
I thought it was odd that he kept himself out of the game. I think he owed it to those who selected him to at least put in a few minutes on the court. I accept that he was tired and I wouldn't want him to do anything that could compromise his ability to perform for the Wolves. But he was clearly healthy enough to get out there for a few minutes in the low-intensity first half of the allstar game. If he didn't want to play, then he should have given up his spot so that one of the many deserving players who wanted to be there could have been there.
I think this issue is getting way overblown by some. It's not a big deal, but I do think that Jimmy made a mistake. It's bad PR for him and its a bit disrespectful to his peers who did play as well as the many deserving players who would have loved to play but weren't selected.

Team Steph lost because of him! It's a disgrace! He should be banned from basketball for life! He should be forced to move to Wisconsin!

Remind me never to get on Big O's bad side!

In a game where no defense is played I can understand why a guy who takes pride in that side of the ball wants to bow out. Hed probably be chastised by his peers for not matadoring his way thru the game.

I just completely tune out all-star games of all varieties. Did they play it already? I haven't even checked on who won the dunk contest, etc.

I usually watch more of the dunk contest etc than the game. I watched highlights of the dunk contest with Donovan Mitchell winning. I heard it was a pretty good all star game this year and I plan to watch it and see Towns play. I've been watching the Olympics when I have time to watch sports.
Butler didn't want to play in the game? Eh don't care. Dude gives full effort all the time. I bet it was more he just wanted to let other guys play than he was tired or whatever.
