To me, the ultimate experiment would be to start Aldrich and Bjelly in place of Dieng and LaVine. Our starting lineup would be huge. It's probably just shuffling and shifting our problems around, but I would be very intrigued if Thibs just said screw-it, I'm going big.
That's the sort of experiment you'd expect to see from a mad scientist. :)
I'm not a scientist, but the Wolves have certainly driven me to madness!

Yeah, somewhat Frankensteinian, but I have to admit I like it...odd, because Zach and Gorgui are perhaps my two favorite players right now. But I loved the way this team looked the couple times Thibs started the big lineup (the Lakers game, for instance), and I also maintain that teams with stars who embrace a bench role can be championship teams. Zach has really taken off in the past week or so, and I think a lot of his emergence has to do with his comfort of being "the man" playing with 4 reserves...kudos to Thibs for recognizing this. Q's idea both allows us to exploit our length advantage at the start of the game, set the stage defensively with upgrades at C and SG, and balance our two platoons. A team with a 6-15 record just a game and a half from the cellar should never consider its starting lineup "set".
