I love Kawhi as a player. But beware. Before this season, he averaged 66.3 games per season, has played 70+ games in only two of his seasons and has never played more than 74 games. And of course, this season, he's played only 9 games. Wiggins and two first round picks for Kawhi is tempting, but temptation can be dangerous.

If push comes to shove I do it because when Kawhi plays he is a top 3 player in the NBA. But it should also be said that the rumors are that he wants out to play in the bigger markets because he was turned down by some off the court advertising because he is quite and quite in San Antionio doesn't sell. Would Quite in minnesota sell, not sure, especially with 2 big personalities in Towns and Butler.

I agree, Cam. It's Wiggins that would make or break that deal and it wouldn't turn on whether the Spurs also get a #15 pick. The Spurs have been pretty good to say the least at getting great talent in the late first round, so they'd certainly value the OKC pick.

I just don't know enough about Kawhi's physical condition to know the risk. I do know, like Jimmy, he's a guy you can't count on for more than 60-67 games. On the other hand, if he's healthy, that's 60-67 games with Kawhi instead of Wiggins. Hard to pass on that.

I'd like to believe Atlanta would deal Prince and Bazemore for Wiggins and our OKC pick. But I'd also like to still believe in Santa Clause. Perhaps Atlanta would do that deal if we also a #15 pick (assuming we lose tomorrow night).
