One falls on Thibs the GM, the other on Thibs the HC. I've always been a Thibs supporter but my patience grows thin. You make your own bed and you sleep in it!
And here is the thing both Thibs the GM and coach can fix this problem this summer by acquiring players that give them depth via draft trade FA more depth and then Thibs the coach can actually play those guys. One of the answers may even be on the roster.
We got nothing out of Patton this year which is a problem given how bad G was. The minutes were there for the taking for any competent big. That doesn't have me confident in our late first from OKC as someone who will make a difference next year. That means our improvement has to come almost all internally with one MLE guy. I don't see where the big leap is coming from given the lack of improvement almost across the board with this team this year.

Package the pick with Dieng's contract for a decent wing.
24th and 54th pick, Dieng, Aldrich (1 mil guaranteed) to Hawks for Bazemore, 33nd pick.
Patton takes Diengs minutes behind KAT and Bazemore gives us a legit 6th man and 3rd wing. Also gives us a bit of cap relief short and long term.

It's VERY possible you can get 2 worthwhile players this summer with the MLE. It's gonna be brutal for FAs there isn't much money out there.
