Suns v Wolves
Re: Suns v Wolves
Bench was really good in the first half and really bad in the 2nd. Which affected the +/-. G was active, he played especially well. Wiggins came in for atypical rotations because of early foul trouble which is why he would have been a -4. The 4th was a team effort, KAT on some D and Taj and Jimmy with smart play. KAT and Wiggins are both slowly coming along with their D from what I saw tonight, both are closing out hard on the right shooter and making smart rotations.

Thanks, Doper. If Wiggins and KAT can defend consistently up to their physical abilities, the Wolves will be hard to beat.

Looked at the box score again. Gorgui looks like he had a terrific game with 10 points, 7 rebounds, 3 assists, a steal and 2 blocks in only 23 minutes. Especially impressive was his 2 for 2 from behind the arc and his 4-4 from the free throw line.
Re: Suns v Wolves
I just finished watching this one.
Dieng had a nice game. It's fun to see him looking comfortable taking 3's his first one was an above the break 3!
Similar to the last game against them credit the Suns got playing hard and they were hitting some tough shots. Canaan has one drive where he had this drive and had a crazy but sweeping shot over Towns that went in. A lot of teams (including the Wolves) are looking stupid for not signing that guy...at least for now. Warren hit some tough shots over Wiggins late in the game. Of course Troy Daniels was hot.
The best part of the game was when the Wolves lead was down to 2 and the Wolves had a 15-2 run starting at the end of the 3rd and they came out and went after he Suns at the beginning of the 4th. Before that despite the Wolves playing well on the offensive end getting good looks and missing some shots there was some energy waning. It picked up which was key.
Teague and Tyus were a pretty nice PG dou in this game. Teague did have some turnovers but most of them were earlier in the game when for some reason the Wolves Just were out of sync.
Butler was a beast.
Towns was pretty good his screen game has been a lot better. He plastered a couple guys tonight.
Jim Pete is getting on Wiggins about some of his jumpers and he is being pretty selective pointing out ones where he should have kept attacking. Thinking about Wiggins settling for these shots which is a weakness of his game reminds me of Dylan Murphy tweeting the other day how Harden has been even better this year (and keeps getting better because he has just absolutely attacked mismatches and gone to the basket not taking jumpshots. I'm not not comparing Wiggins and Harden directly that's ridiculous but I do think it's common for younger players to settle when they shouldn't. Wiggins didn't attack as much last year and it was a little weird. He needs to get to the basket or as Jim Peterson said attack the body of a guy at least.
I don't know about the 2nd half but the first half Crawford was playing some good D. There were times he wasn't just on his guy he was in his jersey. It was fun to see him playing some defense and that's gonna keep getting him minutes.
