I absolutely love Ball...he's the main reason I'm enjoying watching UCLA so much. But Duke, it's ironic that you like him, because the comparison people are throwing out for him is Ricky Rubio! He shows a lot of the flash Ricky showed at 19...great vision, and able to deliver the ball with either hand. And like Ricky, his length and instincts make him a disruptive defender. But that shot...ugleeee! Sure, he's had some success in the early going with his threes, but as I look at his form, I just don't see it as sustainable. So far this season he has been my favorite college player to watch, but I think the chances of Thibs drafting a third PG without a reliable shot are close to zero.

Lol, I knew that was coming about Rubio. I was driver of the Rubio fan club his rookie year. I thought he was so unique and an amazing, and that's without him being able to shoot. He would do things you haven't seen in the league before. I haven't seen that player since that rookie year.

I would agree Ball is out of that mold which most put Ricky in, but Ball is gonna do it better I think. One thing I don't see Ball running around with his head cut off like Ricky does at times when giving max effort, very chaotic and not in a good way. I look forward to much many of his games this year.

Yeah me too...he's an exciting player, and seems very mature on the court for a 19-year-old too. I've adopted UCLA as my team this year.

Yeah, all 3 committed to UCLA which fueled talks that he won't be a one and done. We will see if that changes when millions are staring him in the face.

Went back to the story I read at theringer. https://theringer.com/steph-curry-ball-brothers-chino-hills-c4a7719b22e9#.2mkdwgz9k

The dad has had them shooting 40 footers at age 7... "damn near midcourt."

That's probably the reason for the less-than-ideal form. Will that ultimately be good or bad for them? If the goal is to dominate high school ball and play high-level college ball and make millions in the NBA... sounds good enough.

[Note: The Dad got with the mom because she was tall and a basketball player. Damn it. I got with the gal pal for love and attraction and all that stuff. I'm so dumb. She can't even dribble with her left hand.]

It's worth mentioning Grayson Allen's name at least, though he's not in the upper tier. I still like his game. Tough on both ends of the floor. Good athlete. Very crafty. Knows how to play.

Bad priorities, abe...happy to hear it's all working out though despite her poor handle. You're definitely a tolerant guy to overlook that serious flaw.

Good find on the Ball brothers...yeah, the half court shots at 7 may have a lot to do with his weird shot.

Funny stuff guys. Just about every girl I ever dated was short, until I met my eventual wife. She was only 5-8, but helped spawn my 5-9 point guard that played for San Diego State. My wife has virtually no athletic ability, but brought a great work ethic to the equation. LOL

Good stuff. I certainly didn't pick my wife based on her athletic ability. She isn't even coordinated much less athletic and she would tell you that. She likes to stay active so that's great. As for offspring...um..I guess the cats my wife picked out are more athletic than the one I picked and he is also kind of a wuss. Maybe my eye for talent isn't that good after all. lol
