He wasn't the worst ranked center in Defensive RPM until Thibs got a hold of him.

I don't think the Rockets care much if they lose the rebounding battle or give up a few dozen easy inside points. Their goal is to take 3's and prevent 3's. It works unless they are cold.

I don't get it. KAT, you have to get in Ryan Anderson's grill. He cannot be guarded like he's in a conventional triple threat position. He wants to shoot! Get in his face!

Maybe because I'm on the losing side of this but do any of you think the style of play the Rockets play is bad for basketball (I understand analytically it is the right play)

Not really. I'm not sure why it's any worse than taking a bunch of 18-20 footers instead.

What I'm disappointed in is that when a team is clearly trying to get ONLY 3's and inside points, a defense needs to adjust accordingly and not defend them in a conventional manner with a conventional lineup. That's what we're doing. Of all people, I would think Thibs would have come up with a creative strategy (like I mentioned earlier, starting Dunn in place of Dieng and switching everything on the perimeter).

PF is by far the #1 position we have to upgrade, whether it's a better version of Bjelly off the bench or a legit starting 4 that puts Dieng on the bench. Either way, we can't afford to have Bjelly in the rotation next season. I was a big fan of his signing, but I'm done with him.
