Embiid - if not for the injuries and lack of games played - would absolutely be #1 on this list. That guy is basically slightly less skilled version of KAT, but with 3 extra inches of height, 20lbs. of extra muscle, and every bit the same amount of athleticism and coordination. He's a beast and he is way more impactful defensively than KAT right now.

If KAT gets his defensive chops up another grade level or two, he goes to #1 on this list, but right now that continues to be an issue IMO. He's got plenty of time though.....

I am shocked how low Porter is. I would love to offer him a max type contact (what will be hard for Washington to match). I realize the problems it could cause to our cap

It's a joke that they say he is on track to at least be Jamal Crawford and I do think Crawford has had a nice career. Crawford was 27 when he scored 20ppg in a season. Whatever it was a good read though interesting that Thon was in here. I saw he has gotten some playing time lately and done some good stuff.

Bradley Beal is a better player than Zach LaVine right now. I don't know why that's hard to believe.

His basic stats are better. His advanced stats are better. As for Crawford... I don't think they're comparing him to 21 year old Crawford. They're comparing him to prime Crawford "at the very least."

So if that's LaVine's worst case outlook... I'd say they're being plenty flattering.

No argument about Beal from me. The only issue with that guy is whether he can stay healthy.

Maybe you are right on the way that Crawford compliment reads. To me it still sounds like what they said last year where espn folks said Lavine was a 6th man type and Zach has proven to be a pretty legit young scorer. Maybe they can't come up with a good comparison for Lavine's upside. I can't either so maybe I should settle down. Thanks for talking me through that. Where do I send the check for our session?

Absolutely. And actually, if I could pick any one of the players on this list, I think I'd take Embiid.

I can't even believe I'm typing that! He's so dominant though. I've watched him a bunch this year, and the dude is so great on both ends of the floor. Plus, he's freaking HUGE. I really hope he can stay healthy. The track record of guys that big is not great.

Edit: Sorry previous poster, I was trying to quote and reply to Q's comment about Embiid, but apparently I've been away from the board too long to know what I'm doing. So that "absolutely" is for Q.

Hey Drew. Where ya been? Good to hear from you.

Yeah, the only issue with Embiid is health. That's going to keep weighing down his perceived value until he can string together a long stretch of games playing full-time minutes. He's on a minutes restriction right now and still missing games occasionally.

Hey Q. What's up? Been lurking a bit, but just haven't been able to bring myself to post much this year. I'm still watching the games (well, most of them), but most of my online engagement for some time now has been political. And while I always make a little time to watch basketball, I'm trying to spend more time with the kids and less time online in general. Face-to-face interactions are just so much more enjoyable. If I were still in the states and taking a trip back to Minnesota, I'd try to arrange to meet up with some of you guys for a game. It'd be crazy to meet people I've been typing with online for almost 15 years now but have never actually met in person.

Jabari and LaVine down with ACL's. Jabari has to be major damaged goods at this point. .

Jokic is averaging nearly 5 assists a game the last 3 months. Not bad for a 21 year old center that's started 88 games in the NBA.

Crazy

I think a guy like Clint Capela should be on this list ahead of players like Randle and Maker. 22 Years old and starting on a winning team. I was hoping we would draft him. (I remember arguing with Cam about him back in the day) Seems like the kind of guy that would fit well next to KAT.
