I do not believe that for one second. The only question about Stephenson is this: in what foreign country will he average a triple-double before packing up mid-season and moving back to the states because he's just plain crazy. Great talent, total head-case. I don't want any part of him.

I've always sorta liked Lance's talent so I've always cheered for him to do well. I am not sure the Wolves would really be interested either. However Lance has the skill set that would be great for the Wolves as he can play all perimeter positions and you could probably even throw him in at small ball 4 at times. The guy is a versatile talent but the guy is unsigned and there are teams with varying need for talent and this guy that's about to turn 26 still doesn't have a job. That's says A LOT about how he is perceived around the league. I do still think he can be a pretty worthwhile player but he needs just the right fit and needs to be willing to have a non starter role at this time and embrace it.

This may sound odd coming from me because I generally want high-character guys on my team, but I would be way on board with us signing Stephenson...if we were able to move one contract. Yes, Lance is a true flake, but my character concerns pertain to team leaders (Love, Cousins, etc), not to bit players...I don't think a role player can negatively impact a team as much as the face of a franchise can. Frank Vogel knows more about Lance than any coach, and it's interesting to me that he is rumored to want him in Orlando. Thibs values rebounding and defense, so you can see why he might be interested in Lance. If Thibs wants him, I would be in favor.

One year contract. Flakes behave themselves on one year contracts. I would pay him every two weeks like a secretary if the league allowed it.

We got a great roster as it is, so I'd only consider Stephenson as an in-season addition if Wiggins or Bazz get hurt. I don't want a volatile guy sitting on the bench. Stephenson had one good year and so the risk reward is not great unless we need him. I'd take Dorrell Wright, Alan Anderson or Budinger if we just want some depth a the combo SG/SF position.

Think of Forrest Gump and his box of chocolates when it comes to Stephenson, you never know what you're going to get. Sometimes it can be great, sometimes it can be the complete opposite. Stephenson has all the tools to become an elite player in the league . Big-time playmaking ability, clutch shot-making, and a relentless passion and energy for the game.

But it all comes down to his sensibility, focus, and maturity on the court in what will determine his fate in the league. Will the Jekyll and Hyde of the NBA be more Jekyll or more Hyde? That is the question.

With that being said, I would offer up a one year deal for him, Added bonus would be pex or pain gone lol.
