If Simmons averages 5 turnovers a game for his rookie year (must play at least 60 games) I will send LST a game worn jersey of his choosing unless its The SP because I can't afford that. No way Simmons is gonna approach 5 turnovers a game.

I see Ingram getting it. Scoring is what normally gets the award and Ingram has the ability and will have plenty of opportunities.

That was my thinking as well, although Walton's balancing of development vs winning could hold Ingram back.

It's a tough call. Ingram is partially blocked by Deng and Simmons is in a loaded front court. I'd bet Ingram at the end of the day though because he actually has good teammates on the perimeter that will take some of the load off him while Simmons is gonna have to figure out how to play with a clogged lane and not a lot of good options to pass to.

To me it's a little too early to make a pick. There are still some moves to be made this summer and so I want to see how rosters are set up etc. I'll throw a couple other names out there that could have a shot at ROY.

Jamal Murray. If the dude can score I suspect they will find plenty of minutes for him and he will put up some nice numbers.

it seems possible that Buddy the starting SG for the Pelicans this season. I look at that roster and I see an opening for not just a shooter but a guy that can score if he is up to the task. Gentry is an offensive coach who might be inclined to find ways to get Buddy roll'n.

I wonder if Buddy may be a great choice. More college experience and seems to be a great fit for NO

No mention of Embiid? If he can last thru the season he's hands down the best player among rookies.
