As I sit here in a cafe in South Korea, realizing I will be unable to watch my beloved Wolves for most of the season because of the time differences. I find myself not worrying too much about these Wolves. Yes, they had a bad first game that was highly disappointing. At the same time, most of the times I was just hoping for success with our wolves. Hoping that Rambis, Adelman or even Flip would help the team. That rookies would blossom and help turn the team around. I really don't have those hopes anymore because barring some terrible injuries or Thibs dying of a stroke from all the stress, I see the Wolves dominating the North for many years to come. Another close one tonight, I fear. Sac-town is favored by 1, and I see that about right...this should be a nailbiter. Joerger is doing what Thibs is doing...getting a non-defensive team to really focus on defense. And so far it's paying off. They beat the Suns easily on the road, and then led the Spurs for most of the game before eventually losing. Cousins and Gay are off to great starts, and Lawson is averaging 8 assists against only 1.5 TOs. This will be a tough game, and the Wolves ae going to have to be sharp to avoid coming home 0-2.

While the sky won't fall if we lose, psychologically it would be nice to come home 1-1 to face Memphis in the re-match. I grabbed the 1.5 points and bet the Wolves tonight, I think they'll get it done. Belly, Rush, and Bazz need to get something going, especially those first two shooting 3's.

Prediction: Wolves by 8 tonight, icing it with good free throw shooting in the 4th.
