Per Twitter, head coach/president Tom Thibodeau expected to talk with UFA SF-PF Luol Deng tomorrow, not tonight

Does Miami have any interest in keeping him?

No. ALL their attention is playing musical spreadsheets with Durant, Whiteside and Wade.

I guess it's conceivable that they strike out and miss on all three... but why would Deng wait for that just to go back to a team that didn't give him the time of day... and is gonna suck without those three there?

If that's the case, why should we?

Not following you exactly...

Obviously, Deng isn't at Durant's level. Or, Whiteside. And Wade's history in Miami and HOF career takes precedence too.

I don't see it as a knock against Deng necessarily. He is what he is. He's a pretty solid complementary player. Nothing more.

Exactly right, so I'll pass.

Fair enough. But I think a guy like Deng could offer decent production/value for the Wolves.

As I've noted, an ALL-young team scares me. Deng has been through the wars and also offers a buffer/example/mentor/soapbox/connection with the new guy in charge in MN.

Oh I do feel bad for him. He isn't faultless but good grief it's been bad while he has been there. I know how that kind of thing looks I'm a Wolves fan.

Free agent PG Brandon Jennings will reportedly work out for the Nets on Friday, according to ESPN's Chris Broussard.

He just doesn't move the needle I talked about earlier.

I like Deng and hopefully we won't have to break the bank for him. Supposedly, Miami, Washington, Boston, Clippers and Utah are after him as well.

Yeah that's plenty of money for a guy that's had maybe a good season and a half followed by a poor season.

That would be a good move for the Nets assuming the price isn't ridiculous. I've ripped on Jennings as much or more than anyone but I think the guy is a starting PG in the league and if you get him at the right price and ask him to do the right role he could be pretty useful. The Nets need talent and Jennings is still youngish turning 27 in September.

The Nets just let Jarrett Jack walk for nothing.

Is adding Jennings and ditching Jack really going to move the needle? If/when Lopez is out of there... that team might reach 70 losses.

AND THEY CAN'T KEEP THE PICK!!!
