I don't want anyone with Character issues on this team even as backups.

FWIW Wolfson said in his last podcast that there are some things he knows about Terrance Jones that...well I don't remember how he said it but he suggested they weren't positive. He said that if he knows what he knows about him the Wolves will likely stay far away and that probably another reason why Houston made him an unrestricted FA.

I told you about his character issues during the summer he was drafted. Didn't change anybody's opinion of him though.

Would you be willing to revisit those? I'm just curious and I don't remember what you said. It's pretty obvious there is something up with him even if I had zero info. Guys that are 24 with his past success...would have gotten a contract by now if there wasn't a problem.

Let's hear from Cool what he remembers about Jones. I just know he's not very likable and often shows "I don't care" body language on the court. Then there's this...

Willie Reed signed with the Heat today, he was reported to be one of the players the Wolves were considering.

Jared Sullinger is now an UFA, if he could be had for less than $8 million a year I'd be very interested.

The heat are teh new hot place to go. They have made a flurry of moves.

Meanwhile the Nets roster looks like Brook Lopez watching tumble weeds go by. lol

So we could have 3, maybe 4 really good/rotation guards collectively making much less than Mike Conley next year?

No thanks on Jones. I'm fine with the roster we have. The additions of Dunn, Aldrich and Rush clearly improve our team's talent and depth. If we don't make any significant trades or free agency acquisitions, we'll have substantial cap space next summer, especially if we get a medical retirement from Pek. So I like the approach our front office has taken thus far -- being cautious until we see what we get from our current roster under Thibs after a summer of what should be significant individual improvement from most if not all our guys. Let's not forget last season's team played at close to .500 after the allstar break.

Listening to the Thibs' conference call the other day, it sounds like they are happy keeping their cap space available in case the right trade comes along with a team looking to clear cap space. Wise idea!

I love what Thibs is doing in FA. Letting it play out

Yikes

Portland matched Brooklyn's four-year, $75 million offer sheet on Crabbe, and then Miami matched the Nets' four-year, $50 million offer sheet on Johnson, leaving Brooklyn empty-handed.

I think I would have let both players walk. We need to thank the Nets for hurting the Blazers and lesser extent the Heat.

Is there a worse team out there than Brooklyn?
